This hidden gem of south Austin isn't for those seeking light faire. The dishes and appetizers are designed to be shared with friends. Bring some friends, order a dish and share.

The flavors are at o...nce both foreign and familiar. Avacado and onions mix with spices and ingredient combinations not seen outside Cuban cuisine. The meat is tender, the rich flavorful, and the plantains - if you can stop eating them, you are a stronger person than I.

So, is this a place for a quick lunch? No. This is a place to take some friends, order some drinks, and have the table set with dishes everyone can share and enjoy.

I love love love this place and the food! Well I say “this place”, but I eat outside each time I go so I feel like I’m away eating Cuban food and relaxing to the music while enjoying delicious eats... 💓

My fiancé and I were on our way back to San Antonio when we stopped in. It was our first time dining here. We loved the food and our waitress was very nice. We will be back!

Loved the Cuban sandwich and frijoles negros. The sandwich has a huge amount of roast pork that is succulent and flavorful. The sandwich is larger than a traditional Cuban sandwich that you get in F...lorida. The owner and service staff are very friendly and have a warm, pleasant personality. My only critique is that the yellow rice was dry -- I went the next day and had picadillo with white rice and that rice was fine...the picadillo was also very tasty. See More

The waiter made us feel comfortable. She was attentive and the food was good. The café con leche was stronger compared to another café con leche I have tried at two other Cuban restaurants in Dallas, ...Tx. One being in Casa Linda over Bucker Blvd. @ Garland Rd. I still give them five stars because that might be their own version. Besides, it doesn't mean it was bad, just different since it had more coffee than milk.
This place have an inside and outside option. We chose the outside and it was very relaxing. It looks like you are in a farm outside. I recommend this place.

The margarita was awesome (and not from a machine ) and the roast pork on my sandwich was fan-frickin-tastic. Our server, Brittany was also great. Super attentive, but didn't hover, and she was pleas...ant as heck. My friend and I had a great time, and can't wait to come back! See More

Amazing Cuban food and their servers were super patient with our party as it changed from 12 to a party 16+. As a plus they were totally ok with splitting up orders!

We are new to Austin and new to Texas. The Habana was one of our first restaurants to try and we fell in love instantaneously. We arrived early this Saturday night and were seated in one of the gazebo...s outside. We enjoyed the excellent service and were taken away by the food. Sooo good! For starters we had the veggie Mofongo and the Cuban Tamale. Both very tasty and authentic. Our entrees were the seafood paella and the veggie Salteado. Both were excellent! We loved the tasty rice of the paella. Dessert was a Cuban flan. Yum! We will be back. See More

Very Disappointing!!
First time at this restaurant last Saturday. First impression of the location was good, my wife and I were given seating options outside at the kiosks which was nice. It was g...oing well until we order, it took quiet long time to get the food and we were not impressed. We travel from Ft Hood area to eat here and probably won't come back again. I ordered a mojito to start and tasted "horrible" it seems they used limes that were seating around from months ago and they were going bad, we did not even finish the drink. For our meal I ordered a steak Bread Milanesa which was mostly breaded than meat, the rice was cold and hard, my wife ordered a fried chicken with rice and beans, it was ok. We paid $55.00 for the meal and Not Worth at all !!
om top it took a while to get the food, in fact a group of 4 people seating at the kiosk next to ours left because over 5 mins passed and No one came to even say Hi to them. Then at the other table a couple order 2 drinks and because it was taken too long they were getting ready to leave as the waiter was bringing the drinks.
Place is Ok but the food is Not that great and Pricey!!
Is too bad because the atmosphere is good.

This place was amazing. They had everything I could ever want. My mom is 100% Cuban and I love her food. So I'm very picky when it comes to Cuban food. This place surpassed all my expectations. I also... used to live in Miami. The sole thing I miss about that place is the food. Again, this place brought me back. Waitress was awesome as well. So coming back when I get the chance. See More

Food was very good. A bit on the $$ side but for a nice treat with your special someone, I'd say it was a good place to go. I will repeat again! Graicas!

Not a traditional Cuban restaurant. The food was just ok. It didn’t have the Cuban flavor. Just a copy.
