Short video of our picket line yesterday. Great turnout, was great to see so many people along. The company again hired in dozen tempory workers especially to replace us. While still threatening to sack anyone who takes part strike.
They are trying to send us a very clear message that they consider us disposable. Anyone who works for the Picturehouse can tell you how quickly the company can just turn on you. However in together in a union supported by our community we are not that easy to break, bully or replace. Was amazing to be joined on the Picket line by local Labour councillors, trade unionists and the Mayor of Hackney.

Video of the massive picket outside central now. Also another little story yesterday a manager came up to us on the bar. Said 'no more tip jars till further notice' and confiscated the tips jars. Happy International Women's Day from the picturehouse few quid less each night. Pathetic.

Pride in London is celebrating 50 years since Stonewall, yet we’re met with lines of police and ‘stewards’ when marching to fight for those in our community suf...fering the brunt of oppression.
We’re marching with lgbt+ people seeking asylum and homeless lgbt+ people. They should be celebrated, not the banks and security companies that are holding us down.

There was a moment of tension at Pride in London today (July 6) as a number of LGBT+ activists were temporarily stopped by stewards and police.
