I know this feels like the twilight zone but please don’t shoot the ...messenger for just reporting the news. I’ve got 1 million people on this page alone right now.
Breaking: Bronx zoo in New York City announces that their handler was positive for COVID-19 but was asymptomatic at the time and transmitted COVID-19 to at least one of their Tigers. They have seven that are sick in total. They say this is the first NON-domesticated animal in existence on record to have COVID-19.
No matter what you think, I had no idea that cats around the world were or are allegedly catching it from their owners.
USDA has now announced Humans to have limited contact with their pets IF they have coronavirus because they could sicken their pets.
Nobody needs to give their pet up.
I’m adopted. I only adopt pets. I’ve run a rescue. But they are saying if you’re sick that you should have limited activity and have somebody else take care of your pet just like you when your child if you test positive for COVID-19.
Feel free to list all your thoughts below but please don’t shoot the messenger. I’ve already been told that I shouldn’t post this article or talk about it. Our site gets more traffic than most network affiliates around the country. We get millions of visitors. I can’t not post an article because it makes me emotional. I’m a journalist. besides, it’s humans who are sickening the animals.

The USDA announces that humans should have limited contact with their animals IF that human thinks they have the coronavirus. it’s already been all over the news that humans can give it to kitty cats, but not big cats. Again, no reason to give away your cat because it’s the humans who are giving the cat sick according to science and national news. How much you believe in national news anymore is up to you.
