Toward the Heart: A Project of BC's Provincial Harm Reduction Program

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Doug Nickerson to pancreatic cancer in October. Dougie reversed 148 overdoses with his naloxone kit, and was honoured with... Surrey's Heart of the City Award for saving lives just days before he passed away. Dougie was also a warm and wonderful person, and we had the opportunity to interview him for our Naloxone Saves Lives video two years ago. We put together this short video tribute.

Our second #Next150 challenge is from challengers Raven Lacerte and Paul Lacerte, the Co-Founders of
Moose Hide Campaign.

For their challenge, they’re asking ...you to order five free Moose Hide pins; wear one yourself in your community and hand the other four out to those who ask about it. Use the pins as an opportunity to respectfully talk about violence against Indigenous women and children.

Visit https://indianhor.se/2BYb33z to learn more about the challenge and to accept it now.

Oxfam Canada updated their cover photo.

Last year, 82% of new wealth went to the richest 1%. This isn't working. It's time we reward work, not wealth.

To help save lives and prevent overdose deaths, Take Home Naloxone kits have been distributed to 220 pharmacies throughout British Columbia, including London Drugs and Save-on-Foods. Until now, kits have been available at harm reduction sites, local health units, hospital emergency departments, corr...
