This event is a good opportunity to talk about your experiences and share ideas and information. People who are unable to make this meeting can also give the views at one of the public meetings on the stroke consultation.

Good meeting tonight, lots of discussion
Thanks to Dr Coral Jones for her time, and all the Herne Bay Labour branch members who came along to the meeting tonight. It was an excellent discussion about t...he consequences of the Tories' ideology for the NHS, and the appalling way in which the stroke consultation is being carried out.
If you are interested in the NHS services in Kent, I strongly encourage you to go to the stroke consultation website - https://kentandmedway.nhs.uk/stroke/ - or attend a meeting, if you can.
As with all such consultations, it has been designed to get the CCG the answers they want, with as little public input as possible. Why? Well for one, because their proposal would base the stroke treatment for the whole of East Kent in Ashford, withdrawing the service from the QEQM in Margate. This would be terrible for a number of reasons, as Dr Jones and many other people pointed out this evening.
PS - Please excuse the poor photography!
