FLASHLIGHT TAG: PREDATOR VS. PREY

Grab your flashlights and head out to Highline Lake for a night of learning and fun. We’ll be playing team flashlight tag with the overlying theme of predator vs. prey. We’ll learn how animals are adapted to hunt or hide and have fun doing it!

Who can come? Families are all welcome! Children ages 5-12 are recommended for programs. Please no children under 5 without a parent. No unattended children allowed during night programs.

AFTERNOON CONSERVATION: OH DEER!

“Oh Deer!” is a fun game that teaches children about the importance of sportsmen and women in the circle of life. It also teaches children about wildlife management and some of the work that the Colorado Parks and Wildlife strive to do every day. Come down to Highline Lake for a fun afternoon of learning and games, you just might learn something new!

STAR PARTY VOLUME 2!

**Saturday, August 19th Come gaze at the stars with the Western Colorado Astronomy Club! They will bring plenty of equipment and set up in the Visitor Center parking lot. Sunset will be at 7:52 P.M. with viewing starting around 8:30 P.M.

What can I expect to see?- Close-up views of the Moon and planets! Later stars, star clusters, and deep space objects will be featured....
Where: Meet in the parking lot just west of the Visitors Center. Don’t forget to bring blankets, jackets, camping chairs, comfortable shoes, and flashlights!

Under a field of stars, we’ll take a short hike about the lake and learn about the nocturnal animals that call Highline their home.
