Had a fire in the building (11/8) and I was left in the hotel...after it was evacuated!!!!!!!...no one would tell me why or apologize for the oversite of my safety...as of today's date 12/22..still wa...iting for an answer from the hotel ( please note they gave corporate a cover their a$$ response). Update 3/21/2018 - After my second conversation with cooperate, I received an email that the manager of this location resolved the matter and I received a refund of $150 onto my credit card. Unfortuna...tely for the 2 months it took to investigate this matter, I paid out in interest, late fees and a negative effect on my credit score, but I am at least thankful it has been resolved.

Very unfortunate that I have to write this review. I had originally rated Hilton Woodcliff Lake 5 stars after staying a night in early December for a Christmas party hosted by a finance company in which I do buissness with. I commented on the great time we had and the friendly staff. Today I have changed my review to 1 star and I want my story to be heard to warn anybody who conciders staying here.
As previously stated, I stayed a night in Early December in a room paid for in advanced by our finance company. Upon check in I was asked for a credit card to be kept on file in case of incidentals. We stayed the night, attended the party, and checked out early the next day, leaving our room in a clean and tidy condition. It was not until over a month later that I got a notification that I had a late payment from an unauthorized charge on my credit card. The charge came from this Hilton location and was for $150 from the night we stayed. Confused, I contacted the hotel to make sure the room had been paid for in advanced and to request a refund. The staff was polite but could not complete my request, and I was told they would have a manager contact me in regards to why this charge accured. No manager contacted me and it took a total of 3 phone calls over the course of 2 weeks to get in touch with a general manager. The manager was able to tell us that the room was paid for, but would not tell us more, again promising us a call from a higher up manager. Again no call back. After calling for the 5th time, I was able to reach a manager who was able to tell me that this charge was an incidental charge for a broken mirror. So here it was, 2 months later and 500 miles away, and we were wrongly accused of damaging a hotel room with no way to prove our innocence and no notification from the hotel that my credit card had been charged. Again I was told by the manager that he would speak to his cleaning staff and see if anyone had a picture of the alledged damage. No surprise that there was no return call, once again.
So here we are 3 months later. I called cooperate and filed a formal complaint with them and a request for a refund for the charge and interest that has collected on my account as a result of the hotel not dealing with this in a timely manor. Cooperate was helpful and told me this Hilton location had 72 hours to contact me, which of course, for the 6th time, they did not.
Today I will call cooperate again and hope to get some more answers. My advice to anyone who considers staying at this location is to TAKE PICTURES of your entire room before leaving. I hope my story can help someone else so that nobody is wrongly accused of damage as we have been. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Check in was a little confusing. There were not very many guests and the clerk gave us a room at the far end of the building. We were able to change it.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff was excellent. My problem was with the restaurant/ bar. Drinks and food were overpriced. Barkeep was new and literally used a jigger to measure out the drinks. Not impressed.... Food was good though. Steven at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed. See More

The hotel lobby is beautiful and it's a large hotel with great amenities, but my room when I entered smelled like a sweat shop and my bathroom especially the toilet was nasty! The refrigerator was dir...ty! Staff did move my family and I to another room that was clean but I believe housekeeping just didn't clean it. The storage room where the clean towels were kept on my floor was left open the entire weekend and bags of trash was laying around in it! I was surprised because this is the Hilton! I will not be staying at this location again! I tried posting pictures but for some reason it won't let me but OMG! See More

Rooms were old with some updates. Shower was dirty and heating system made so much noise that had to turn it off. The manager did the right thing and handled situation great. Walls are thin, you can h...ear everything. Staff is very nice. Went to order food at bar at 11. They said kitchen is closed. We said it's 11 and not a minute after but they said the chef won't cook anything. We had to make a big deal and they gave us fries.
Probably won't stay here again.

The front desk staff were professional, courteous and very helpful. Transportation to and from the event was on time and the driver was competent and attentive. The room was very nice. I would defin...itely go back and would highly recommend it to anyone. See More

We were very disappointed with our stay. The hotel did NOT meet Hilton standards.
The hotel is undergoing renovations but that does not mean that the room shouldn't be clean (there was hair in the tub... upon checkin)our tub would get backed up during showers, the room was not cleaned until after 5:30 pm on Saturday AND our pillows were taken from the room that same night.
The best part of the entire weekend was our buffet breakfast and the omelet I had!
We will not be staying here anytime soon!!!!

Gross bathroom, empty lotion bottles and shower cap box placed on the bathroom toiletries tray ad if brand new, creaky bathroom door that woke us up each time one of us used the bathroom, no mention o...f lounge access or breakfast for diamond members, and cleaning service doesn't clean the room if you're only there a couple of nights (per Anthony at the front desk). Rooms were old and need to be updated. Specifically looked for a hotel that didn't allow dogs yet felt like I paid to stay at a kennel. No...they were not service dogs!

It is undergoing construction due to water damage and a little cut up with design. It has a great location to other areas and walking paths. The wifi could be improved due to dropped signals.

I agree... that the cleanliness is something that can be and should be a priority. See More

Totally crooked "normal practice". After booking months in advance, they overbooked some of our group, then over charged others! They claimed no charge would hit a card used to hold the reservation, y...et charged more than $100 more than the room was ever going to be! Thieves! Stay ANYWHERE else, even if it's a tent in the woods! See More

Friendly staff, clean modern rooms, nice pool and restaurants. My daughter work for the Hilton in Atlanta. We received upgrades and discounts on rooms and meals.
