We have friends in the area and called the hotel to make a reservation, we were told they were booked for the weekend but the woman recommended we stay at the Inn. It was Our first experience at a B&B.... It was cute and cozy . Each room has a color theme , we stayed in the red room. Reading the history behind the house was fascinating! Anyone can stay in a hotel , but staying in this B&B was an experience! Rebecca was so nice on the phone and very accommodating with helping make the reservation, she was just as sweet in person! The house keeper was also a Sweet heart. They helped make it a comfortable stay. Of course the best part of B&B is the Breakfast, they served delicious bacon egg potato tomato pesto dish, an array of teas and juices. There is a wine area and a little shop , we were happy to bring a memorable keep sake home . Highly recommend staying here. We hope to stay again. See More

Loved it so much that I'm already planning our next stay in spring!
I couldn't stop staring at all the features of this 250 year old house. It's kept up so well and has an inviting feel as soon as enter. We were greeted by the most friendly innkeeper, Rebecca who makes you feel at home. The Weathered Vineyards wine cozy tasting room is a perfect touch to the inn. (If you like whites I suggest the Traminette, you get the smells like roses)
We stayed in the Crimson Dove..beautiful. We were so curious about the room and the house we decided to read about its history which was conveniently provided in a book in the room. With the wine and cheese tray add on, and the quaint lounging space in front of the fire place you really don't even have to leave the room. But if you did, there is a kitchenette just downstairs with a microwave, ice, plates, utensils..whatever you need.
We woke up the next morning to the smell of breakfast cooking downstairs. There's a variety of breakfast items set out you can snack on while waiting for Rebecca's amazing breakfast everyone is raving about.
While here make sure to take a ride around town. There's history, trails, breweries, places to eat..

This was our first time ever at a bed & breakfast. The owners were awesome & very informative. Everything was clean the decor was very unique; from the coffee mugs to the wooden floors, everything add...ed just a little personality to the place. In addition, the breakfast was phenomenal! The breakfast was something straight out of an award winning chef's kitchen, it was really that good. Thank you Rebecca & Dave for a wonder experience for our 1 year anniversary; we will be visiting again. See More

I take my wife to a B&B every year for her Birthday. This year I found the Smithton Inn online. Best decision! We had a blast! The owners are fantastic and we even got to meet the family dog. Rebecca ...answered all my questions pre checkin. Her pancake tart was incredible! The onsite wine tasting was another highlight! We will definitely return. See More

Always the only place I'll stay when I go back to PA. Rebecca is accommodating, gracious and kind, while Julia is one of the most positive people I know! The rooms are gorgeous and unique, the food i...s delicious and the atmosphere is cute and homey. I don't feel like I'm staying in an ominous hotel. Love this place! See More

Peggy and I love to stay at B&B's and are so glad that we chose the Smithton Inn for a two night get away on our anniversary. We have stayed at quite a few B&B's over the years and the Smithton Inn i...s everything a bed and breakfast should be. We stayed in the "Red Room" and really enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings, the weather was unseasonably cool and blustery. The Inn itself is beautiful inside and out. Rebecca the owner really knows the area and gave us not only perfectly prepared and presented breakfasts, but great tips for places to eat our evening meals. The Historic Smithton Inn is a warm and welcoming place and we would recommend it to anyone who wanted to explore the Lancaster area and attractions. Thank you Rebecca and Julia! See More

I stayed there for over a year while working in Ephrata. The best motel reservation mix-up ever! I felt like I was part of the family there. There was a cozy fire every night to decompress and a wond...erful breakfast to look forward to in the morning. I love antiques, and there was a historic feel of this beautiful pace. I hopeful get back there sometime soon. See More

One of the really special moments when Red Chair Travels was staying at the Historic Smithton Inn came during our visit to Martin's Pretzels. Red had the opportunity to tour the facility and was lucky enough to hear the ladies break into song as they twisted pretzels. No wonder Martins Pretzels taste SO good!!

Happy Earth Day everyone! Let's make sure this beautiful planet of ours is cared for and respected 🌎❤️ #earthday
