Devil State Juniors challenged us to do the Ice Bucket Challenge and we thought it was a great way to cool down after training and raise awareness for a good cause! We nominate Convict City Roller Derby League, Devil State Derby League and Tasmanian Mens Roller Derby! Support this worthy cause! xx HJRD

Rebellion 2017

Van Diemen Rollers are back at Rebellion 2017. They’ve been here once before, and they’ve always had representation on mixed teams. That makes all four Tassie l...eagues in the mix in 2017!
We’ll get the schedules up soon.

“Founded in 2008, the Van Diemen Rollers were Tassie's first flat track roller derby league. VDR is currently based on the NW coast of Tasmania and we love we can follow up a training session with a swim at one of Tassie's picturesque beaches or a skatepark session by the sea. Our dynamic team has been training hard in the lead up to the rebellion and we're so excited about the 2017 Rebellion... bring it!”

“The South Island Sirens are a Hobart based Roller Derby League. We believe in our sport and in our league, acting at all times with integrity and respect. We train hard and provide a high level of individual attention to all of our members, leading to efficient training, the creation of tight knit teams, and mastery of the sport. We value respect and communication, and are proud to have an inclusive and supportive league. Fall for us. Play Derby.”

Rebellion 2017

Convict City Roller Derby League and Orange Thunder are coming back for Rebellion 2017! Three times at Rebellion in the past and looking to keep the thunder rol...ling.
See who they’ll take on when pools and schedules are released soon.

“Convict City Rollers were Hobart's first roller derby league, established in 2009 and Tasmania's only WFTDA league. Orange Thunder are the league's A-team and are fully pumped for Rebellion.

A notorious pack of goof balls who love roller derby, burgers, and dudes who wear mom jeans, this team from one of the world's smallest islands is often referred to by their counterparts as 'Chihuahuas stealing bones from the Wolfhounds'. Orange Thunder train in their own home venue in Hobart named C-Block. Their training consists of the usual roller derby drills as well as parkour, walking on lego and extreme stair-jumping.”

Last game was Hobart v Adelaide Rascals! Feeling incredibly proud of our resilient team. After two injuries and a foul out we were down to 7 so safety first we finished at half time. A huge thank you to Yeah Nah and Harm who joined our crew and gave their ALL along side our 8 wonderful little humans xxxx ( injuries cleared and skaters now happily splashing in the pool)
HJRD did you all proud! And in my opinion this bunch represent our sport and our league with absolute glory...!! Junior Roller Derby and all it represents in looking out for each other, team work, and determination was on the track today.
Massive thanks to Mamma B and the amazing crew at Lil Adelaide Roller Derby for organising and running a great event!
