This was my second time attending the Holiday Bowl (the first was a few years ago when my undergrad alma mater, Arizona State University, played against Texas Tech University) and the half time show t...his year was superior to the last time I was here. I would have preferred a different matchup; nothing against Washington State, but I can think of a few Pac12 teams that would have made for a better pairing with Michigan State. That being said, I was happy that #SpartanNation got the victory.

The stadium is old and the seats aren’t the most comfortable, but I’ve experienced worse. My wife and I had great seats in the F level, section 31. The staff was OK. Not great not bad but Ok. The tailgating activites were cool and the hospitality of San Diego’s residents was AWESOME. The only downside was that the venue needs to have better organized parking, particularly when events are over. It was a bit chaotic when we were leaving and there was no traffic control.

I assumed I had already seen my last sporting event at The Murph, but boss had an extra ticket so the free entry. Took the trolley in with no problem. Had a slight problem with the security. I think i...t's safe to say that these are entry-level positions. The game was a blowout by half time, so that sucked. That stadium is old af. Apparently there was something on the trolley tracks, so it wasn't working. This left 45567886554332 people all deciding they would call uber/Lyft at the same time. It was a trip to be completely surrounded by people with their cell phones out trying to figure out where they were going to meet their driver. It was pure pandemonium, chaos, no fun. Walked for an hour before getting picked up. I had fun, then had a lot of not-fun. See More

The stadium is horrible. It is no wonder the Chargers left. It is straight out of the 70’s with no updates since. Security had no idea where to send people so we had to walk around the whole stadium ...almost twice. I never want to see another game in this stadium again. It needs demolished and redone or just sell the land. See More

The game is a lot of fun with the bands and the pageantry. The stadium is good too but the parking is a horrible free for all. There are no attendants directing traffic. All the attendants do is take ...your money. See More

I have attended every game but the second one many years ago. I have to say that the games were way more exciting when the WAC was part of the equation. But some fans wanted to see bigger better confe...rences so now we get the 3rd place teams from other conferences... Did I say I miss BYU, SDSU or Wyoming... The stadium is fine for a place built 50 years ago. It could have used a better scoreboard many years ago but San Diego and the Cha//ERS didn't want to spend the money because of the new stadium.(hahaha). Hopefully SDSU gets to build anew college stadium and will continue as San Diego's best football team... BTW I attended every Poinsettia Bowl as well.. To bad San Diegans didn't support it... They always were fun.. See More

Awesome time but very dated stadium. Ran low on beer by half but that had a lot to do with the amazing MSU fans and thats coming g from a UofM fan. Overall a great first bowl experience!

Stadium falling apart. Rusted out. Literally. No ushers so we had lots of drunk people doing stupid things. Food selection was poor - same at every booth. Trolley was a nightmare after game. We lef...t game with 4 minutes left and didn’t get to Hazard Station until 11pm.

I can see why the Chargers left! San Diego should be embarrassed.

Great matchup, great access to the stadium via public transit. Great tailgate experience. The only issue is that the scoreboard is from like 1980 and I really wish it would be upgraded for this event.

First of all the stadium is horrible and needs to go. College stadiums have better atmospheres. The scoreboards alone are an embarrassment. Can’t believe SDCCU is still putting money into this. Congra...ts to WSU and MSU. Your rankings are well deserved. See More

Great game, but the stadium is AWFUL! Concessions were out of many things by 2nd Quarter and were horribly slow. Very dirty restrooms. Not a good venue at all.

The concessions around the stadium ran out of soooo much product, before half time. Great game, but can't stand the stadium.

I'm a 15+ year ticket holder and the quality of the teams seems to be following an opposite track as the ticket prices. This used to be one of the best match ups during bowl season, not so much anymor...e. The stadium is fine for tailgating and watching a football game. The people who complain about the stadium aren't there to watch football they are there to say they were there. The staff have always been topnotch, the halftime show is always good and we have always enjoyed all the fans while tailgating. I just wish we had better teams although it was fun heckling the WSU fans around us. See More

The Holiday Bowl was great time, there where so many things happening besides the game between WSU and Minnesota. Navy Seals to start up parachuting in , Navy Helocopters flying over at the beginning ...of the game, a full football field sized USA flag brought out by the Marines. The half time show was incredible. The committee and all the volunteers did a great job. The Holiday Bowl was a class act. See More

I see all the complaints about the stadium itself.. how many of you voted for a new stadium?
We have been attending the Holiday Bowl for 20+years. You can't blame the HB committee for the actual gam...e and teams. The events they provide have been mediocre, BUT this year with the Fan Zone and Beer Garden and Food Trucks I think was a GREAT addition. It was the happening spot. San Diego prides themselves on our Craft breweries.
Security was MUCH better than last year. At least they don't make us use clear plastic bags as a purse.
Small attendance this year. We as San Diegans, come to this event every year to support.
Thanks holiday bowl committee.
(This review will be under a ticket we puchased for our friend to join us.. we have great seats..50 yd/club level)

Washington State vs. Minnesota is a great match up! Can't wait for this game plus the Free Fan Zone pregame celebration sounds awesome! What a great addition to an already awesome bowl experience. ...I will not miss the beer garden with that lineup of San Diego's best breweries and neither should you! See More

The game and teams were fine. My terrible experience started at the gate. I have attended the HB the last four years. I have been bringing my "non-professional" camera and "non-professional" (small) z...oom lense, for taking "non-professional" personal photos for my use only. Since a could not take in my small camera bag, I put the small lense in my jacket pocket. I get to security and hold up my jacket. I told the guard I had the lense in the pocket. He asks to see it. He looks at it and I'm told I can't enter with the lense. All of a sudden, he is an expert on camera lenses and says it's a professional photographer lense. It's the freak'n lense that came with the camera! It wasn't an expert telephoto lenses. Not once have I made as much as a penny on any photos I've taken for memory sakes. So much for bowl memories! More like bowl bad memories. I know, I know, after I complain about the next thing, they'll be comments like, what do you expect, the tickets were free. Yes, they were free, but the very last row in plaza level under the overhang of the next level? Really? I was offended, I need a safe space, I couldn't find anyone wearing a safety pin. See More

Stadium was horrible, but I already knew that since I live in San Diego. The actual Holiday Bowl itself was fun. The was a lot going on outside before the game. The first half of the game was boring. ...Halftime show was awesome! Second half of the game was better. San Diego needs a new stadium. Qualcomm stadium is just embarrassing... See More

We had a great time at the Holiday Bowl! Relaxed with food and drink in the parking lot-perfect weather; amazing fly-over with the military salute; competitive game; terrific 1/2 time show with firewo...rks 💥; not to mention easy exit of parking. This is always one of our favorite events to attend! See More

The best Bowl Game ever! Always fantastic teams and great outcomes.
The half time shows are always amazing. Well worth the price of a ticket. I have been to 35 of them!
