Horsefeathers
Ask where you can see the very best
And she will lead you here...
Where horse and human heal children and each other
Answering the higher calling of an ancient medicine
That speaks horse, mouse, fly and sparrow
Alive in this wild, content barn
We spell triumph
W-A-L-K
The rewards are smiles, meows, woofs and whinnies
For given sweat, dander, toil and care
All our sweet history ends here in Horsefeathers
Smell horse, touch horse, feel horse
And walk-on

My daughter's been riding at Horsefeathers 3 years this month. It's the one thing she's consistently done and loves doing. The OTs and trainers are amazing.

This is an amazing place to give your time to, working with horses who work with developmentally challenged adults and children. The people who work and volunteer here are so grateful for your time. I... am humbled to have been accepted to volunteer here. See More

My boys have been coming here for years!!! The staff is amazing! They are so generous and dedicated! Most of the workers here are volunteers. They are a non for profit organization. Even times whe...n I couldn't afford to go and said I might have discontinue, they told me no, just keep bringing them. If anyone ever wishes to donate to a good cause, this is one of them for sure. The money truly does help benefit children with special needs. And for those animal lovers out there, it gives many retired horses continued care and a way to still be loved and create special bonds with the kids they work with!!! See More

On Saturday, January 27th, Horsefeathers had the honor of hosting the Northwestern Equestrian Team's first-ever horse show for the teams of Zone 7, Region 4 in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
Nearly 100 riders from 8 schools came to compete in what was an incredible day of equestrian sport!
We're delighted that NUET calls Horsefeathers their home barn! The riders, horses, and staff did an incredible job! Thanks to all those who came and competed, spectated, or volunteered!

Just a reminder that Horsefeathers will be closed this Saturday, January 27th for the Northwestern University Equestrian Team hosting an IHSA Horse Show!
