A fascinating short article using the processes involved in producing whisky to think about time, sustainability and our impact on resources moving into the future.
What if we ran out of peat?! 😱

Dailuaine was apparently the first Scottish distillery to have the now famous pagoda roof!
Oh Wow! We bottled a cask of Rosebank several years ago that has remained one of my personal favourites so this is exciting news! Have you tried a whisky from Rosebank before?
This is interesting, rather removes the romance of a cask having waited till just the right time to be bottled though.
I had a recording studio in our last warehouse, I wonder if the vibrations helped our casks mature 🤔
What music would you play your whisky?...
£1,000,000 for a hogshead cask, say its 30 years old and the angels have been nice and left you half at more than 40%vol, at cask strength you have 178 70cl bottles. The whisky alone would be £5,618 per bottle. 😲 Retail value is anyone's guess!
How much is too much to open the bottle?
Another interesting article here, I've often wondered if the maturation site affects the resulting flavour of the whisky, so these 2 opinions are enlightening even if they don't give a clear answer!
Do you think the more romantic idea of a whisky maturing at its distillery adds to your appreciation of it?
Quite a nice wee article from Life Hacker on drinking whisky, good to show any friends who don't know how to start. No mention of single casks though, which we of course think are an important component in the spectrum of whiskies available. https://lifehacker.com/everything-you-need-to-know-to-get-s…
We are thrilled to have launched our new website! For information about our range of whiskies or to make purchases within the UK please visit the link below.
