Donate Zakat today to help stop the Rohingya Genocide in Burma. The Burmese government is oppressing the Rohingya people to the point that seven Nobel Peace laureates declared their actions a genocide. We will work tirelessly to pressure international governments to take action against Burma until they end the persecution.

Our work is critical in opening up Burma for international media, human rights organizations and the international relief organizations. Please donate gene...rously. This work is eligible for Zakat through the fi sabeelillah category of Zakat and is tax deductible.

Please donate now.

During the last Ramadan Rohingyas could not even enter a mosque in Burma. All mosques were shut down in their area since 2012. Friday prayers, Eid, all was illegal.

About 129,000 Rohingyas began Ramadan in the concentration camps of Burma. The military marched them to these camps in 2012. They are among the 500,000 or so Rohingyas being starved to death in Burma in what Nicholas Kristof of New York Times calls a “slow motion genocide.”

A million other Rohingyas who fled to Ba...ngladesh are fasting in searing heat in bamboo and tarpaulin shacks. There is no where to hide in the scorching temperatures of the humid monsoon season as there are no trees to give shade and comfort.

The Rohingyas are a patient people. They are thankful to God and thankful to anyone who helps.

However, we have responsibility to stop this genocide.

It is your donations that help raise US contribution from 30 million to more than 200 million dollars. Now we must put full sanctions on Burma to force them to take Rohingya back to their ancestral homes in Burma with security and citizenship.

Please donate your zakat today to stop this genocide.

Dua: Also please keep Rohingya people in your heart.

Make dua for them as you make dua for yourself and your family. And make sure that imam remembers Rohingyas in masjid as we all pray together.

May God continue to give us the blessings we enjoy and may He bless us to remember those of His creation in need.

From Imam Malik Mujahid:
Ramadan Mubarak: As we begin Ramadan, full of mercy, giving, gratitude and Sabr (patience), the images from Palestine and Rohingyas sear our minds and break our hearts. May God grant us more Sabr and wisdom to world leaders.

This Ramadan, let’s reflect and plan to follow three Prophetic success strategies of empowerment: Communication, care for humanity, and coalition-building.

Wishing you a blessed Ramadan!

President Trump says Ramadan Mubarak to Muslims. Does it mean there will be an iftar at White House?

"With the rising of tonight’s moon, I send my greetings and best wishes to all Muslims observing Ramadan in the United States and around the world.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Quran to the prophet Muhammad through fellowship and prayer. Many observe this holy time by fasting, performing acts of charity, reciting prayers, and rea...ding the Quran.

Ramadan is a time of self-reflection intended to deepen one’s spiritual growth and renew a sense of appreciation for the many blessings God provides. In this spirit of thanksgiving and reflection, those observing Ramadan can strengthen our communities, help those in need, and serve as good examples for how to live a holy life.

Ramadan reminds us of the richness Muslims add to the religious tapestry of American life. In the United States, we are all blessed to live under a Constitution that fosters religious liberty and respects religious practice. Our Constitution ensures Muslims can observe Ramadan in accordance with the dictates of conscience and unimpeded by government. By doing so, the Constitution also furnishes varied opportunities for all Americans to deepen their understanding of the human soul.

As so many people unite to celebrate Ramadan, Melania and I join in the hope for a blessed month. Ramadan Mubarak."

Urgent help is needed for Rohingyas. Monsoon will come. And it often comes with hurricanes. A million people sitting under a plastic-bamboo hut cannot survive the weather. Governments, Congress, NGOs all believe this is bound to happen unless urgent steps are taken.

There are 144,000 single mothers in Rohingya camps.
How are they doing this mother's day. Will someone bring flowers to them. Will someone prepare a breakfast for them. will they receive any gifts.
Some of these mothers are actually teenagers.
Many of them are rape victims.

...

May God give them courage and wisdom to the world leaders to force Burma to stop this genocide and let Rohingya return to their homes with security and citizenship.

Mother's Day was actually was a part of anti-war movement:
“Our husbands shall not come to us reeking of carnage for caresses and applause. Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy, and patience. We women of one country will be too tender to those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs. From the bosom of a devastated Earth a voice goes up with our own, it says “Disarm! Disarm!” The sword of murder is not the balance of justice. Blood does not wipe out dishonor, nor violence indicate possession."

From Imam Malik Mujahid
Although I remember my mother several times a day praying for her, this mothers' day I would like others to know about my mother and pray for her. Any time I am a little down, I visualize her in her best dress, calling me with her favorite nick name, encouraging me to get up and serve. Thank you Ammi. Love you and miss you every day.

I was unable to be at my mom's funeral. When I finally arrived my dad gave me two inch thick set of condolence letters ...to read. One condolence letter written long ago still stays with me. It stated the saying of the Prophet, salllahu alaihe wa sallam, that children can continue to serve their parents even after their death as the good deeds of their children continues to be counted in favor of their parents.

From Imam Malik Mujahid:
I met the leading imam of this village on March 26 2018. His name is Abul Hashim. He told me the story of the massacre in this town. Two of his own children were murdered by the military. He is an eyewitness to murder and rape in this village.

The Sunday afternoon massacre could rank as one of the largest by Myanmar‘s security forces since the military initiated its campaign against the Rohningya.

Soon after the UN security envoys left Nolboinna, agents from Myanmar’s military intelligence unit and border guard police (BGP) arrived in the village looking for the Rohingya who had spoken to the envoys. Now they have been forced to flee for their safety.

From Imam Malik Mujahid
I think Mahathir's becoming Malaysian prime minister is good for Rohingya people who are facing a genocide. He is a strong supporter of Rohingya people, a clear-headed strategist and has done a lot of favors to Burma in the past. He sat through my presentation about Rohingya people a couple of years ago.
