The MusicNerd Chronicles posted this nice short Q&A with the guys today. It also ran in print in The Moncton Free Press. Thank you Ken for the kind words! Here's a quote pulled from it:
“Let’s just get this settled right off the bat: T...he Howlin’ Brothers are not brothers. Nor do they howl (that we know of). What we do know of this dynamic trio is that they play real country music and we’re not talking about the watered down crap that is considered “country music” today. The Howlin’ Brothers mix folk, bluegrass, country and blues in a way that is steeped in tradition. Nowhere is this more evident than on their excellent new record TROUBLE.” - Ken Kelley/The MusicNerd (6.9.14)Meer weergeven

Here are some kind words from Bill's intro:
“No better band than exemplifies what I believe is great Americana music than The Howlin’ Brothers. A trio who have a second album called TROUBLE, and these guys are just fun and they play all sorts of music. Ya know it’s pretty hard to pigeon-hole ‘em, which is really what Americana is - don’t ya think? - Bill Frater/Freight Train Boogie (6.7.14)
