This year, Britons are set to spend a record amount of money on STUFF... and all this stuff comes wrapped in more stuff, which creates over 10 MILLION TONNES of packaging WASTE every year! We are really keen to find examples of BAD packaging - stuff like plastics and polystyrene that are difficult to recycle are high on our hit list. Please keep the posts coming!!

Hurrah! We got there!! A HUGE 馃悩THANK YOU 馃悩 to all who signed our petition to the gov to ban ivory. There will now be a Parliamentary debate on it on 6th February. Watch this space! :)

The Conservatives pledged to shut down the UK鈥檚 domestic ivory market in their manifesto for the past two elections. 30,000 African Elephants are slaughtered a year for their tusks yet, the government has still not outlawed the trade. From 2009 to 2014, 40% of UK customs seizures were ivory items.

Thousands of pieces of ivory are being bought and sold in the UK - let's make it clear we want this to end. Now.

100,000 signatures on this will mean it should be discussed in Parliament. Here's hoping we can make a change!

The illegal wildlife trade is a $20 billion industry, exceeded only by the illegal trades in drugs, weapons and people - at the centre of this nightmare is our elephants, who are being poached at an alarming rate for their ivory. If we don't put a stop to this soon, we could lose them forever.

I was inspired by your cup campaign to produce the following stop motion animation for a first year Graphic Design project. It's a little rough around the edges but thought I would send on the link in case anybody is interested.

Hello there, new to this page and I am literally shaking with anger:

I have just returned from Tesco having reluctantly gone there for a particular lacto-free m...ilk that I can't find at my usual supermarket. I was talking about War on Waste with the chap on the tills (my soap box subject) and he told me that last week, the chiller cabinets that house the meat were down for 20 minutes. Even though they were repaired they THREW 拢3,000 of meat away!! This is scandalous! Apparently it is Tesco policy to throw away products in the chiller cabinet if they have been at ambient room temperature for more than 15 minutes. I'm going to ratify this by speaking with the head of food safety at Tesco (after all it could be that the member of staff didn't have their facts straight - I hope so). If this is indeed their policy then it is utter madness - can anyone shed any light on this? Thank you!
