Thousands of pieces of ivory are being bought and sold in the UK - let's make it clear we want this to end. Now.
100,000 signatures on this will mean it should be discussed in Parliament. Here's hoping we can make a change!...
WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Please sign this petition to call on the UK government to CLOSE OUR IVORY TRADE!!
If we can get 100,000 signatures, it will be considered for debate in Parliament. Let's send a really clear message to the government that we want the trade in ivory to end. Now.
Thanks to Gemma for sending this through...
The illegal wildlife trade is a $20 billion industry, exceeded only by the illegal trades in drugs, weapons and people - at the centre of this nightmare is our elephants, who are being poached at an alarming rate for their ivory. If we don't put a stop to this soon, we could lose them forever.

How great is this!? Thanks Julia! :D
I was inspired by your cup campaign to produce the following stop motion animation for a first year Graphic Design project. It's a little rough around the edges but thought I would send on the link in case anybody is interested.
Hello there, new to this page and I am literally shaking with anger:
I have just returned from Tesco having reluctantly gone there for a particular lacto-free m...ilk that I can't find at my usual supermarket. I was talking about War on Waste with the chap on the tills (my soap box subject) and he told me that last week, the chiller cabinets that house the meat were down for 20 minutes. Even though they were repaired they THREW £3,000 of meat away!! This is scandalous! Apparently it is Tesco policy to throw away products in the chiller cabinet if they have been at ambient room temperature for more than 15 minutes. I'm going to ratify this by speaking with the head of food safety at Tesco (after all it could be that the member of staff didn't have their facts straight - I hope so). If this is indeed their policy then it is utter madness - can anyone shed any light on this? Thank you!
Not a waste related post, but Hugh's new programme - SAVING AFRICA'S ELEPHANTS: HUGH AND THE IVORY WAR airs in 6 days and we wanted to share the trailer with you! :D
