Every Saturday from noon (12) to 4pm there is a small group that fights (LARP Live Action Role Play) with foam weapons. This park is excellent for accommodating so many of us,and it's nice that we are... made to feel welcome and folks seem to enjoy watching. Can't wait to see how the group grows in this community! The main problem I have with Hendersonville parks' sports leagues is the rules are either not made public or are not easily findable. There are too many arguments over petty "local rule modifications".... The rules or local modifications of standard rule books should be on the parks' website. And too many refs/umps openly admit they don't know these local rules. The coaches love what they do and the kids but there's nothing to back them up. Hend parks has a great website. Put rules on it please. See More

Mr. Rodgers was kinda rude to me, when i called to ask for help in an Environmental science project for my class. He acted like he didnt even care. he didnt even ask me any questions or give any he went to a straight no. i just think if you're charge of parks department then you may care a little bit more about the environment and the other people who are trying to make it better. It makes me very upset that he didnt even give my idea a shot or even tried to think of solutions. See More

A sad place now that all the waterfowl is gone. Why put in food dispensers when a cull was due to take place??? If the parks and rec department didn't kill the waterfowl, who did?? The claims thus far... don't make sense. Surely you know who exterminated ducks and geese on your property! And if you truly don't know, then perhaps a criminal investigation is in order. See More

This is the second time that we have come on a Friday night from 7-8. The first time we where here we saw a kid with a gun and had to call the police. Tonight there were several kids speeding around t...he circle. Also the lights on the playground were out. This is a place we love to take our kids but won't again. The police need to be patrolling it way more often. I was there for 2 hours and never saw a single one. See More

All of the geese and ducks at Memorial Park have been murdered using taxpayer dollars and now it is being swept under the rug. With all of the rusty fishing hooks and trash I would not allow my child play here anyway, it's not safe. The waterfowl were the only positive. RIP See More

Went to a park off of Gallatin Road. GROSS! There was goose droppings all over the pavilion flooring and someone was sleeping overnight there. I see why every time I drive by it, NO one is there.

The traffic disaster this morning (9/6/14) was terrible. No organization, no HPD helping the situation. Sat in park for 1 hour trying to exit. Heaven forbid there would have been an emergency. There w...ould have been no way to get to them. Makes me not want to be involved in Hendersonville sports so I can spare myself from Drakes creek on the weekends. See More

Love the new dog park. I was there today with my new friend Debbie and her dog Leila. Our dogs play well together.

They were starting to put in the new water fountains for people and humans. It's awesome!

Will the parks department be hosting any kind of a kickball tournament in the future? I've been hearing rumors.
