My first DM had been doing it for a few years already, so walking me through character creation, what the game was about and how to handle the mechanics of combat, etc were a snap for him. Eventually though, life got busy and I dropped the hobby after High School even though I still missed playing. If for no other reason, I stopped playing because it was hard to find a good, reliable Dungeon Master who could show up prepared and loaded with adventures to explore week after week..."
