Hydroelectric Power Plant on a Paper Strip - State of the Art Research from IIT Kharagpur

I was delighted to hear from Prof Suman Chakraborty today that my orig...inal idea to the Micro-fluidics group in Mechanical Engg to develop a "Plant on a Chip" has seen the first light of the day with the results accepted for publication in the prestigious journal Lab on a Chip, 2018, DOI: 10.1039/C7LC01350G. This was among the first Challenge Ideas that I had proposed after taking over as Director and am so glad that world class results are coming out of the Challenge Projects like these and a few others with deep science based technology that can transform society.Thanks to all those who helped make it happen.

The best thing here in IIT is that the students are involved in extra curricular activities other than studies and every one is active here, the extra curricular activities are not for fun but it give...s the students a real life experience. The way of teaching is best without doubt but the most important thing here is the laboratories here .The labs are open till late night and anyone can visit there. Other than every thing the good thing about the campus is that the students here use cycles due to which the campus is environment friendly and pollution free. The facilities here are best and and the food is good. See More

I am amazed by its lushgreen campus.

I lived at IIT-R for a year but this Kharagpur campus is very beautiful in terms of natural scenic beauty.
