AMPHI 2014 - WEITERE BANDBESTÄTIGUNGEN


Liebe Amphi Fans,

wir hoffen, Ihr habt die Feiertage gut überstanden und seid gut reingekommen ins neue Jahr. Natürlich waren wir in der Zwischenzeit nicht ganz untätig und haben für heute ein weite...res Programmpaket geschnürt. Dabei haben gleich sechs neue Bands ihren Auftritt angekündigt. Aus der Abteilung „heute schon auf Sommer freuen“ begrüßen wir folgende Acts zum Amphi Jubiläum 2014:

CLAN OF XYMOX | NOISUF-X | BURN (ACOUSTIC SHOW)

Auch bei den legendären Synthi-Pop Veteranen CAMOUFLAGE steht 2014 ein runder Geburtstag an. Anlässlich des 30-jährigen Jubiläums lässt die Band, der wir u.a. Klassiker wie „Love Is A Shield“, „The Great Commandment“ und „Suspicious Love“ verdanken, Anfang Februar in Dresden die Korken knallen. Wir gratulieren der Band zu ihrem Lebenswerk und freuen uns darauf, dass CAMOUFLAGE uns als Amphi-Band der ersten Stunde zum Zehnjährigen das passende Ständchen bringen.

Vielfach gewünscht und endlich „verhaftet“, begrüßen wir mit LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT eine weitere Kultformation auf dem Amphi 2014. Trotz Konzerten und Festivalauftritten vor bis zu 30.000 Zuschauern haben LAM sich musikalisch immer ihren Undergroundcharme bewahrt. Höchste Zeit für die Goth-Rock Formation um Sean Brennan dem Tanzbrunnen einen Besuch abzustatten. L.A. – Cologne? Ist doch ein Katzensprung! Das erste LAM Konzert auf dem Amphi ist dabei zugleich die einzige Festivalshow der Band 2014 in Deutschland.

1981 von Klive und Nigel Humberstone gegründet, zählen IN THE NURSERY zu den wichtigsten Vorreitern des Martial Industrial. Verbunden mit starken neoklassischen Einflüssen, legen die Briten größtes Augenmerk auf bildgewaltige Kompositionen und stimmungsvolle Dramatik. Ganz gleich ob im Rahmen einer gigantischen Freiluftinszenierung, als Live-Act im Club oder als Soundtrack für einen Film, erfüllen IN THE NURSERY das Prädikat „einzigartig“ mit jeder komponierten Note!

Als 1984 die Gothic-Bewegung zunehmend an Einfluss gewann, legte ein damals noch unbekannter Niederländer namens Ronny Moorings den Grundstein für eine der einflussreichsten Gothic-Bands Europas: CLAN OF XYMOX. Enorm vielschichtig, vereinen Clan Of Xymox bis heute klassische Dark-Rock Elemente mit tanzbarem Wave-Appeal.

Heftige verzerrte Beats und der Blick auf eine apokalyptische Welt bilden das Fundament von NOISUF-X. Eine gleichermaßen moderne wie brachiale Soundwand aus Techno und Rhythm & Noise, mit der Mastermind Jan L. von der Bühne aus den Tanzbefehl erteilt. Erhöhen wir daher ein wenig die Schlagzahl und begrüßen mit NOISUF-X im Tanzbrunnen einen der aktuell gefragtesten Club-Acts Europas.

Die Münsteraner Band BURN beweist eine ausgesprochene Vorliebe für Wave-Rock. Nach ihrem Debütalbum „The Truth“ (in Co-Produktion mit Henning Verlaage) tauchte das sympathische Quartett um Sänger Felix Friberg auf dem Nachfolger „Black Magnolia“ noch tiefer in die Klangwelt der 80er ein. 2014 zum ersten Mal bei uns, werden BURN ein exklusives Akustikkonzert im Theater geben. Freunde romantischer Melancholie sollten sich diesen Leckerbissen daher auf keinen Falls entgehen lassen.

Und das war noch längst nicht alles. Für Anfang Februar steht bereits ein weiterer Headliner (aus dem elektronischen Bereich) in den Startlöchern. Mehr dazu in Kürze!

AMPHI 2014 - NEW BANDS CONFIRMED

Dear Amphi Fans,

we hope you enjoyed the holiday season and got a good start of the new year. Of course we haven´t been sitting idle over days. Instead we tied together a new set of artists for the festival. So, “fresh from our department of summer anticipation”, we are delighted to announce six additional bands for the Amphi anniversary today:

Not only the Amphi Festival celebrates its 10th birthday this year. The synth-pop veterans CAMOUFLAGE also have a major appointment with history. Early February the creators of masterpieces like “Love Is A Shield”, “The Great Commandment” or “Suspicious Love” play their 30th anniversary show live in Dresden. With humble respect for their lifetime achievement, we are looking forward to having CAMOUFLAGE live at the Amphi Festival 2014, just like we did, when they enriched the very first Amphi, back in 2005!

Requested by you many times and now finally “arrested”, LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT is the next cult-band to join the line-up of 2014. Despite playing concerts and festival shows in front of up to 30.000 people, LAM always kept themselves a vivid goth-flavored underground spirit. With an Amphi gig long overdue, we are really excited that the first LAM show at the Tanzbrunnen will happen this summer as their only festival-show in Germany 2014!

Formed by Klive and Nigel Humberstone in 1981, IN THE NURSERY are not only accounted for having paved the way for the martial industrial scene. In combination with neoclassical influences the Brits also set a strong emphasis on pictorial compositions and a fine sense for dramatic orchestrations. Regardless of performing a monumental open-air celebration, playing in a club or delivering the soundtrack for a movie, IN THE NURSERY always comply the predicate „unique“ with every note!

Back in 1984, when the gothic movement started to gain influence, a young Dutchman by the name of Ronny Moorings laid the cornerstone for what was to become one of the most influential European goth bands of all times. Today CLAN OF XYMOX stands synonymous for a fine blend of dark rock elements with electronic wave appeal.

Harsh distorted beats and the view on an apocalyptic world provide the groundwork for NOISUF-X. With his savage modern soundwall of techno and rhythm & noise, Mastermind Jan L. will give you the order to dance. So let us increase the blow count with NOISUF-X and herewith present to you one of Europe´s most requested club-acts right now.

Originating from the Westphalian city of Münster, BURN show a declared passion for wave-rock. After their debut album „The Truth“ (a co-production with Henning Verlaage) the charming four-piece around singer Felix Friberg delves even deeper into the sound of the 80s with the follow-up „Black Magnolia“. Giving their first Amphi Festival appearance in 2014, BURN will play a special acoustic-set at the theater-stage. Fans of romantic melancholy in particular should not miss this intriguing piece of handmade music.
But this is not all by far! For early February we have an additional headliner (from the electro camp) coming up. More will be revealed very soon!
