I recently had the opportunity to train at Isohealth when they Hosted Henry Akins and I for a seminar. I have to say that Matt and Sarah are fantastic people who run an extremely friendly academy, who... along with their students made us feel right at home immediately. Along with the amazing atmosphere, the training is a very high level, in a space has great facilities, that are kept extremely clean. Having trained all over the world, if I was in Adelaide, I wouldn't hesitate to train at Isohealth. See More

Although I have a bias as I train here. I truly do believe this is one of the best BJJ gyms in Australia. From the friendly staff and coaches that will always make you feel at home, and guide you down... the right path. To the weights gym where you will learn the correct way to lift for strength and functionality. Isohealth is perfect for everyone who is interested in the Jiu Jitsu world. See More

I've trained at a number of gyms in other disciplines prior to starting BJJ, and I can confidently say i've never found a better training environment than the one that exists at Isohealth. From day on...e I was treated with respect and welcomed warmly. It can be daunting starting a new martial art, but the guys at Iso do everything in their power to make you feel like part of the team, and ensure you have a great experience every time you step on the mat. This is how martial arts should be!. The guys there are great, no tough guy attitudes or heros, just good honest hard workers with genuine enthusiasm and love for their art. The coaches are fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and treat everyone as an equal no matter the colour of your belt. An additional plus is the very large timetable, i am a new father and it can be hard to get to the gym - but with the many options on the timetable - i can still attend regularly. I cant recommend this place more. See More

I was visiting Adelaide from the states when I came across Isohealth. It has a great, welcoming atmosphere with a wide range of skill levels. I can't recommend Matt enough as an instructor. I've train...ed jiujitsu with countless blackbelts in three countries, but Matt is one of the best teachers I've ever seen. See More

I trained at Isohealth for nearly three years before moving the to the uk and joining the club was one of the best decisions i ever made. Matt Jones has created a fun, friendly and safe environment fo...r people to train in from all levels. The coaching staff are always happy to help and quick to answer any questions you have. If you have ever wanted to give Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a try, improve your self defense or just get fit I would recommend Isohealth everyday of the week. It is the best place i have ever trained at and the nicest people i have ever trained with. See More

Easily one of the best places to train. I was in Adelaide on holidays from Darwin and Matt Jones and all the guys from Isohealth Bjj went out of their way to look after me, (and my brother) show me a ...great time and most importantly train me in some seriously good jiu jitsu. Great facilities... Great guys... Great jiu jitsu!
All the best and thanks to everyone involved in Isohealth Bjj

Isohealth BJJ is one of the few things in the week I do and always have a great time. The BJJ brings fitness and strength while I learn sports fighting and how to defend myself. And now 5 weeks into a... strength and conditioning regime set up by Matt and I can already feel the difference!

My 9 y.o. daughter also comes along to the Saturday morning kids session. She likes it for the reasons you can guess, but the confidence it has given her has rebounded into other areas of her life. Her basketball has suddenly shot through the roof, and the only thing that changed was starting to come along to BJJ. Chalk another one up for Isohealth.

Probably the most welcoming club I have had the pleasure of dropping in to whilst travelling. Excellent facilities along with very safe training partners who will give you a choice of which rule set (...ADCC etc.) they will submit you by :) It's an absolute must if you are in the area. See More

Having trained in several martials arts over a period of twenty years (receiving various belt rankings and multiple world association instructor certificates), I am now both cautious and pedantic abou...t where I train. I commenced training BJJ at ISOHEALTH in early 2012 and have not looked back since. The head coach is an incredibly knowledgeable and competent instructor, who never ceases to impress me with his approach to both BJJ and life in general. The ISOHEALTH team are also second to none and put simply, are a reflection of their teacher. ISOHEALTH is by far one of the best gyms I have ever had the privilege of training at, and I look forward to the many years of training ahead. See More

As a father of 4 kids ( 3 currently training at ISO Health) I would Recommend ISO Health best move I made was walk in there door not only personally but also for my kids.

Womens' Only Self Defence & BJJ - isohealth

Our Women’s Only Introduction to Self Defence Course is back for the final time this year!

Sunday 3rd December @ 10:30am – 5:30pm: $125 per person (refreshments... provided)

At ISO we believe in running our self defence courses a little bit differently to the norm with the theory and awareness side being our main focus.

We explore a variety of self defence topics including how to use your intuition effectively, how to spot a potential ‘predator’, how to develop a survival plan for yourself and your family and what to do if a self defence scenario does turn physical.

Our aim is being to instil a ‘survival mindset’ into all of our participants through the use of fun activities and discussions.

We also dedicate a few hours of the course to physical techniques that you may find yourself having to use if a situation does turn physical and you need to fight back.

Suitable for participants of all ages (15 years and up), fitness and skill levels. Our Women’s Only Introduction to Self Defence Course is back for the final time this year!

Proud of him as a student and equally proud to call him a mate! Terrific interview with Daniel Currie by The Neversphere regarding Dan's upcoming fight at Brace 51! - Matt

"...If that’s what he’s expecting then he’s in for a very rough night."

With just over a week to go until his fight at BRACE 51, we caught up with Adelaide local Daniel Currie to find out how he got started in MMA and to get his thoughts on his some of his opponent's comments.

Daniel Currie lets us in on where he's at ahead of his fight with Cameron Rowston at Brace 51, October 28.

What an awesome day! Huge thanks to my good friend Matt Jones of ISO BJJ for coming over and sharing the details of his straight footlock with me. One of the on...ly things I love more then teaching Jiu-Jitsu is being the student and learning. Some amazing details that I've never seen before on how to apply the footlock. Matt was kind enough to let me film our whole session so I'll be sharing it soon on hiddenjiujitsu.com. If you're ever in Adelaide Australia make sure you visit ISOHealth.com.au
