The Family of Arbabi Asks UNHCR to Put Pressure on Iran to Release Hamidullah
Chabahar - On April 21st 2019, Chabahar intelligence agents of Iranian regime arrested Hamidullah Arbabi aka Obaidullah from his home in the village of Mehban in the city of Giyeh, Iranian occupied Balochistan, and his whereabouts is still unknown to the family. Mr. Arbabi is father of four children two sons and two daughters.
According to report posted in the Rasank social media that the offic...ers who had arrested Arbabi had told the family that they belong to Chabahar Intelligence, but the next day when the family visited the Chabahar intelligence Office, the office said that it was unaware of his arrest.
The report says that Iranian intelligence has been putting pressure on Arbabi's family not to report his arrest and announce that he has traveled abroad.
The family of Mr. Arbabi has expressed their worst fear that the very denial of his arrest by the Chabahar intelligence service is a clear indication that something bad has happened to him. The family of Mr. Arbabi has asked the United Nations Human Rights Council to put pressure on Iran so that they release Hamidullah Arbabi as soon as possible.
