There is a little update on the PDF-to-PNG option: now it handles spaces in file names as well. No, simply using commas was not an option here.

It's hard to believe, but Icaros Desktop is 10 years old! It was November 24th, 2007, when vmwaros site went on line, announcing the birth of a little AROS project. But soon the "virtual machine with AROS" became bigger and bigger, left its VMware nest and became a full-featured distribution, flying by her own. I would like to thank everyone who made this possible, by contributing software, by spreading news, by helping me with development, by encouraging, by answering to my (many time silly) questions, by donating time and money. It's been a very long journey, let's see where it will bring us to...

Hermes is a brand new platform game by Retroguru guys. It's been ported to AROS as well, by our old friend Yannick Erb. Have a look at it, and while you're there, please consider getting the boxed version to help them.
Are you still missing a word processor for AROS? No problem: someone has created Folio, a browser-based word processor which works great on MorphOS and, incidentially, AROS as well. Just download the zip, unpack it and load the html file with OWB, and enjoy. You can save documents as PDF for printing.
I never tried creating a Icaros virtual machine on a VMware ESXi host (enterprise stuff, you know...). And - guess what? - it works just fine! No audio or hw acceleration, of course, but networked services are ok.

Works on Icaros website continue. Today I've added a page about HostBridge, the technology which allows hosted Icaros to start Windows or Linux programs from the shell, the GUI and any AROS launcher.
