The Solar Plexus Chakra, Manipura, is our center of power, control, will, and it represents our direction in life. Manipura means "lustrous gem" and rules the digestive system of the body. It is the place where our "gut" instincts lie; our inner knowingness of what is right for us and what is not. It is associated with the element of fire, the color yellow, and Archangel Michael. Yoga postures that help us to focus on strengthening and opening our core, both physically and energetically, can help to balance this chakra. Yellow crystals, such as citrine, can also be helpful when focusing on balancing Manipura~
