Yesterday our 2016 #navig8 team from Charles Spencer High School in Grande Prairie held an important event, the culmination of much planning and collaboration! Read below to find out how they are sharing knowledge and inspiring a younger generation to be "water and waste wise!" BRAVO!
MESS (Maverick Environmental Student Stewardship) hosted a Water and Waste Wise Day with 96 grade 4s from Derek Taylor. Mavericks helped grade 4s make connecti...ons with how to reduce waste and conserve water in their daily activities. And, oh yeah - it was fun!!!! Some of the kids made it into the gym for a dodgeball game! Thanks to staff and students in both schools for making it a great afternoon!

Our friends at the Canadian Wildlife Federation have a great opportunity for #YYC teachers in particular. Educators can take action to help pollinators with their class or group by participating in the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s WILD Spaces for Pollinators program.
With this program, youth are engaged in learning about bees, butterflies and beetles, creating pollinator habitat and sharing the experience with other students through an online classroom. Register online a...nd receive FREE pollinator friendly plants!

Inside Education is extending an opportunity for not-for-profit organizations from Fort McMurray and the RMWB whose staff have relocated to Edmonton. If you are in need of a small meeting room, office space and equipment, computers, telephones, highly mediocre coffee or even just camaraderie with your fellow NFP-ers, we are happy to invite you to work from our downtown Edmonton office.
We realize it's soon to think about work, but we also know that the not-for-profit world waits for no one. We also believe that we're all in this together. If you are interested, contact our Executive Director, Steve McIsaac (smcisaac at insideeducation.ca).
Our recently-wrapped Clean Air Responsible Schools saw students in Edmonton and Calgary participate in an Idling Education project in their schools. Check out the fantastic PSA created by the Grade 5 IB PYP students at Victoria School for the Arts!
