Just back from an amazing honeymoon at the Intercontinental. All staff were fantastic and the room was phenomenal. The view took my breath away, we slept with the curtains open because when everywhere... was lit up it was even better. We were upgraded and received champagne and strawberries on our first night which was a lovely touch. The location is perfect for shopping, shows and restaurants. This is a truly wonderful hotel and we can’t wait to visit again soon. See More

This hotel is in a good location but as far as being an Intercontinental it is severely lacking. Seems like a new GM is needed and retraining all of the front of the house staff. We are Spire Elite A...mbassadors which is about as high as you can get in the IHG rewards club and did not get upgraded and the staff seem to be put out and unbothered by any complaints. Don’t expect anyone to give you great service other than the run around. IHG is about to make me fully convert to SPG/Marriott at least there you are treated truly as a guest! See More

I want to give a huge thank you to all the staff especially Ellen Guimaraes, Ruztique Toscano, and Jeff Pankavich. They went above and beyond to make my proposal to my fiance on New Year's Eve absolut...ely perfect and amazing. I could not have asked for more. It was absolutely perfect. My fiance was so impressed with everything! The room was amazing, the location was perfect, the staff was friendly, the whole experience was stunning. I have nothing negative to say about our 2 days there. I was truly impressed about everything. The New Year's Eve party was great and we had an amazing time. Especially when I proposed and she said yes! Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this possible. It is something we will never forget. See More

We stayed in room 306 my boys loved looking out the window and seeing everything going on . The hotel room was clean tidy and comfortable. The staff couldn’t do enough for us , we had our disabled son... age 6 with us and if we needed anything we only had to ask nothing was ever too much trouble . All the staff were amazing and made our stay very happy and we are already booking again and my boys want the same too. Am amazing holiday and an experience of a lifetime thankyou so much see you all next October xx See More

The description of my room on line stated a view of Times Square. The view was actually the back of a dirty old adjacent building and the tops of a few buildings in Times Square.
Our room was fine, cl...ean. Bathroom was ok, but the bathtub drain was clogged up and water filled the bathtub as I showered!
The Concierge on the morning of 12/9 was excellent answering all my questions about attractions and events, and recommended a great restaurant.
The door men were helpful and attentive in helping us get taxis .
I was disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t larger, and offered more onthe menu.
Very pricey for so little.
The location was the best part! Perfect!

Great location for shows, shopping, and dining. Easy access to subway and MOMA is walkable from here. The hotel bar and restaurant, The Stinger, is urban chic with good service. We didnt get a chance try them for a meal with so many other options in walking distance. The rooms are quite comfortable with city views. Would stay here again, would recommend. See More

Hotel offers a good location, good hardware but too much attitude. Other than doormen and bellmen, it is hard to get a smile from anyone. If I was on business, I wouldn’t even comment but when you are... on family holiday, hospitality does make a difference. This year I was quitting IHG for Marriott but had this hotel booked for a family holiday so did my stays to maintain status; now, I feel cheated as I haven’t even received a welcome note... See More

First timers from England visiting New York. Hotel staff so so friendly and helped with directions when needed. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble! Room was great, nice corner room with great views.... Happened to mention that we were visiting as it was hubbys birthday, came back from our first walk round to a happy birthday cake in our room. Lovely touch. Will defo be back!! See More

The staff is rude and our room was not clean. We found dirty towels and food under the bed. Who knows how long it had been there-YUCK! I generally stay at Marriott properties and only stayed here bec...ause of a group event. For the money, there are plenty of other options in NYC! See More

13 days on and Intercontinental are unable to advise ref refund for trip that was canceleed due to snow in NY on the 21st of March. Keep responding with the emortal words 'we will reach out to service' but no response to enable me to claim on my travel insurance. Circa £1300.00 out of pocket and no formal response - very poot and dissappointing :-( See More

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Times Square and the subway which we used several times to take us back and forth to the US Open. The subway is located right outside the front entr...ance. We stayed in a corner room and the views were awesome. The room was very nicely updated with sleek, contemporary bathroom (no tub) and large comfortable king sized bed. The gym was huge and well appointed with everything even an athlete would need for an awesome workout. It was very impressive!
We had a very nice evening in the Stinger bar our first night there. We were tired and didn't want to get dressed up to go out, so we headed downstairs. The bar area was very popular and not just to the patrons of the hotel. I saw many people come in from off the street to enjoy the ambiance. We sat at the bar and split a fantastic cobb salad and drank the most amazing whiskey sours ever. It was expensive but what isn't in New York?
The only hiccup we had was at check in. The line was 10 people deep and only 2 people behind the desk. Took twenty minutes to get to the front of the line. Although we checked in 15 minutes prior to actual "check in" time, the room was not ready. They took our number and told us as soon as the room was ready they would call. We left and had lunch to pass the time. An hour and a half later we still had not gotten a call or text. We decided to head back to the hotel and check on the status of the room. Well, we had to wait in another extremely long line just to ask if our room was ready (which it was). There should be a better way to expedite picking up room keys at peak times. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.

We had a corner room on the 25th floor. Although check in was at 3:00 the room was not ready until 3:30 due to a late check out. We liked the room. Bed was comfortable. The hotel was nice, bell staff ...where helpful. The only thing lacking is a bigger lounge/seating area. Those waiting for rooms have to sit I. The adjacent bar/restaurant which feels awkward. Poor service , most arrogant people who works there . Needed to beg them for 3 days to change my room cause the hot water in the shower was not working . Then at 2 am on my 4th night they were convinc...ed and granted a room change but smaller though same room catogry .

In the new room AC control was not working , called maintenance to fix it but later they didn’t , later was told I need to attend in the room so they can fix it which I found very strange .

Later again the sink was folded with water , I reported issue twice then it was fixed .

There was one incident in which I left room for 8 hours later when I came it was not made , complained again and was told that rooms will be made according to priorities between 9 am and 5 pm , and since it was only 2 pm then they were sure it was going to be made .

Always execuses after execuses , and yes I was compensated by offering me a voucher of 150 $ dollars plus a free internet package ( when most of the hotels offer that free ) . What a 150 $ can do when I paid more than 7500 $ for 14 night to stay there .

Such a bad experience never again , what a lousy hotel with less maintenance to their facility while ignoring customer complaints even when you are a member in their award system .

It had a great room and the service and people were amazing. I wasn't happy with 11 check out and as a platinum member they wouldn't extend it. The said they would for $100, so them saying rooms weren...'t available for late checkout was inaccurate and a platinum member should get it if rooms are available. I have never had any problem at other crown plazas or intercontinental like that before. Plus, if you use the business center you pay for time on the computers and they were very slow. I had to rush something that should take 2 minutes and barely got it done in the limit. Great hotel. Just need to treat platinum members correctly. See More
