Please avoid this organization if you are seeking a J1 visa exchange program. Our company has hired interns from various countries for over 10 years. One of our Interns had the unfortunate experie...nce of selecting InterExchange for their exchange program... and the experience has bee horrible. they have surprisingly little knowledge of the J1 process, their staff is constantly churning, and they keep the students money while not allowing them to go on their approved dream internship they were offered... simply because they want to sell them some other location. How are we and our host families paying so much for this and the organization buys the cheapest plane ticket?

Got the cheapest flight ever and as expected was terrible, they don’t tell you that you ...are going to be paying for all the bags or that you won’t be boarding until the end because yours is the cheapest ticket. See More

InterExchange is professionally working as a sponsor of a number of J-1 visa programs for decades.
For Internship program, InterExchange does not offer placements, only review Self-Arranged offers ap...plicants get themselves.
So, I doubt if Lance Evander has properly described what some applicant/s told.
J-1 visa programs are strictly regulated by the U.S. Department of State.
Regulations may not allow everything what about the applicants are dreaming.

I really liked my first family but the same way they do exams and background checks on us they should do it to the families. My second family was awful, later on I found out their previous 2 au pairs ...requested to be changed. When I Skyped with them the first time they didn't let me talk to their au pair, and I even asked for maybe her phone number so I could ask about the family and they wouldn't do it. No wonder, no one warned me how bad they were, I lasted maybe two months and interrupted my program. See More

The worst experience of my life. The worst sponsor, there is no responsibility, they only care about the money

I wanted to use this agency to become an au pair in America
I had really bad experience with their employees in my home country! I had to pay 200$ just to be get into the program and that somebody lo...oks at my application (whereas other agencies don't charge until you match with a family) and best of all was that they took forever to answer and in the end they told me they forgot about my application and it was sitting on somebody's desk for four weeks!
In the end I went to another agency and don't regret it!!
Sorry I would not recommend inter exchange!

InterExchange is not a sponsor I would recommend based on my interaction with them. I filed my paperwork with them and it took 2 weeks for them to tell me they need additional information. I promptly ...provided that info and after 2 more week they stil didn't process my application. I've called them personaly two times and my employer once and they provided no information whatsoever. My agency recomended paying a 100 fee to them (no idea why) and moving to another sponsor. See More
