We can’t fail to mention FAI - World Air Sports Federation! Thank you for supporting us and making it possible for international youth to see and experience what an amazing sport ballooning is!
We wouldn’t make it without you, THANK YOU!
It’s been over 2 weeks since our camp ended. Time flies!
It is about time to say big THANK YOU to all our sponsors, without whom it would not have been possible to organise our amazing camp.
Let us start with Freiballonclub Salzach-Inn e.V. Thank you for letting us stay at your perfect place and once again: it has been amazing to experience gas ballooning, it wouldn’t happen without you. THANK YOU!
Final full day at the youth camp! It was a lovely day starting early in the morning with gas and hot air balloons. As many are tired from the long (yet very fun) week, many took the afternoon to rest before we headed off to the lake. Unfortunetly our fun at the lake ended abruptly.....with more rain. Now time to enjoy our last night and prepare for the dreaded goodbyes.

Day 6- Brrrr
Today was the coldest night of the camp so waking up was extreamly difficult. Even loud music didn't help. Eventually when everyone got dressed we still didn't leave the camp for another hour since the weather conditions were debatable. In the end the morning flight was canceled on the launch field due to a heavy fog. Later on, the day brightened up and we went to a rope climbing park. Everyone enjoyed the activity and were extreamly enterntained by the baby goats near the park. Due to strong winds the evening flight was canceled as well but the atmosphere in the camp didn't get spoiled as the gas balloon for tomorrow morning is already being set up!
Rain, rain and more rain, but canceled flights did not stop us from having fun! Today we visited Salzburg. First stop was the Red-Bull hangar, after which we took a stroll through the city while recreating some art and ending it with food and a drink!
Day number 4: Fun Fun Fun
We like it best to get up at 4 am… maybe not every day, but when two gasballoon flights are waiting for us we are in for sure! All those of us who did not fit in those two balloons, as it would have been quite crowded, had woderful hot air flights instead. Back at our camp breakfast is waiting for us, some go back to sleep where as others play soccer or volleyball. Our day started quite warm and every hour brings even more heat. As we do not go to ...the lake today there is only one solution: The hugest waterfight IYC has ever seen. Nobody, and I mean nobody, could flee the battle. It was an amazig afternoon and the evening would be even more impressive. Another round of hot air ballooning. After a successful landing we were welcomed by the neighborhood.
We were all wet after the water fight, but it didn't really matter as it started raining as hell in the evening. We were a little bit worried if the world might drown, but it looks good so far.
As my camera decided to die and my charger disappeared, well maybe drowned, photos will follow tomorrow. Don´t worry, you´ll get some great impressions soon.
3rd Day. IYC Sports Day - Why not?
We did a boattrip to take a look at the islands of the beautiful Chiemsee. Afterwards we had lunch at a lake where we enjoyed beach soccer & swimming. Even a large group of motivated runners made it happen to run a total distance of 90 km in the evening. I guess we all deserved a big portion of Käsespätzle!

Second day of the IYC started really early, around 5,30 am. The youthcamp had a different kind of ballon lauched! A gas balloon! Later on the hot air balloons tried to chase it. Perfect second day, as we also managed to do the evening flight!
Thank you Freiballonclub Salzach-Inn e.V. !
