He tomado una decisión esta semana que deseo compartir con Usted. No continuaré como candidata al Congreso en el Distrito 26 de Florida. Asumí este esfuerzo hace un año consciente de lo que implicaba una campaña. Estaba dispuesta a asumir el establecimiento, los medios liberales y los intereses especiales de bolsillo.

Sin embargo, las circunstancias han cambiado y en lugar de dividir los votos del partido, prefiero que tengamos la oportunidad de recuperar el distrito #FL26 del Congreso por el bien de la nación. Frecuentemente ganar va más allá de una victoria personal. Lo que es bueno para la comunidad y nuestra nación es una victoria para todos nosotros.

Gracias desde el fondo de mi corazón, y sé que sigo comprometida a hacer mi parte para que este gran experimento americano continúe para las generaciones futuras. Espero que todos sigamos haciendo nuestra parte para hacer que los funcionarios electos se responsabilicen por sus acciones sin importar la afiliación partidista.

Para garantizar la continua grandeza de nuestro país, debemos reducir la corrupción, desenmascarar políticas injustificadas que vayan en contra de nuestras libertades constitucionales, y limitar la influencia de intereses especiales que inclinan la balanza en favor de unos pocos mientras obstaculizan el bienestar de los demás.

Hemos realizado una campaña muy conservadora, y en las próximas semanas, devolveremos una parte prorrateada de sus contribuciones. Hemos sido muy sobrios en la manera cómo se utilizaron sus donaciones porque entendemos y apreciamos el sacrificio que hizo para ayudarme en este esfuerzo. Por favor, sepa que estoy eternamente agradecido a usted por creer en mí.

Usted y sus familias están en mis oraciones mientras nos enfrentamos a estos tiempos difíciles juntos.

I’ve made a decision this week that I wanted to share with you. I will not continue as a candidate for Congress in Florida’s 26th District. I took on this endeavor a year ago cognizant of what a campaign entailed. I was prepared to take on the establishment, liberal media, and the deep-pocket special interests. Yet, circumstances have shifted and rather than splitting party votes, I would rather have a chance of regaining Congressional District #FL26 for the good of the nation. Sometimes winning goes beyond a personal win. What is good for the community and our nation is a win for us all.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and know that I remain committed to doing my part so that this great American experiment continues for future generations. I hope that we all continue to do our part in holding elected officials accountable no matter party affiliation. In order to ensure our great country remains great, we must curtail corruption, unmask unwarranted policies that go against our constitutional liberties and limit the influence of special interest that tilt the tables in favor a few while hindering the well being of many.

We have run a very conservative campaign, and in the coming weeks, we will be returning a pro-rata share of your contributions. We have been very frugal in how your donations were used because we understand and appreciate the sacrifice you made to help me in this effort. Please know that I’m eternally grateful to you for believing in me.
