Tossed and turned last night, went to see my friend last night, and her brother ( that was under hospice care) Came Home around... seven and she called around 10:30 and said he had gained his wings!! Please keep Sherry and her entire family in your prayers!! Headed to Chobee later to take my best girl to get her hair done for her dance and take a few pics (lookout for overload later 😂😂) Then back Home and headed to the lake for the Joe Diffy concert! 6 -8 chicken pieces, cleaned
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cups water
Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour and spices and arrange skin side up in a baking dish. Mix the cream and water and pour over the chicken. Bake at 350* for 1 1/2 hours or until the skin is golden brown.

Oatmeal Cake with Coconut Pecan Frosting
1/2 C quick cooking oatmeal...
3/4 C boiling water
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
2/3 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 C of shortening
Mix the oatmeal with the boiling water, stir and cover. Mix the remaining ingredients then stir in the oatmeal mixture. Grease and flour a 9×9 pan. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350 for 23-25 minutes.
Coconut Pecan Frosting:
3 TBS melted butter
1/3 C brown sugar
1/2 C sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 C chopped nuts
2 TBS milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Carefully spread frosting over the top of the cake. Broil until coconut is just brown. Watch very closely – it doesn’t take long. Cool, slice and serve.

Sweet Buttermilk Pie
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk ...
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon loosely packed lemon zest
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnishes: fresh berries, whipped cream, fresh mint
1. Preheat oven to 350°. Whisk together first 2 ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk eggs and next 5 ingredients into flour mixture; pour into Perfect Pastry Crust.
2. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until almost set, shielding edges with aluminum foil after 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, and cool 1 hour.
