I was a volunteer for Sunnyside Elementary and had a great time! I felt like I worked harder yesterday than I have on my own job. It was great to see how eager and attentive the 4th-grade class ran ...their business. The "Biztown" was set up like realistic businesses. Every detail was on point. The children took their jobs seriously and came out with a better understanding of how it all ties together. My daughter, Alyssa, said before going to bed, "Mom, I feel your pain". I said, "How"? Alyssa said, "I'm tired after being a Sales Manager". I chuckled and said, "Now you know how I feel after a long day at work". She said "Yes"! And she fell right to sleep. Great experience and would love to volunteer again. Everyone should have their child experience this and learn what it takes to run a business and most importantly how to manage their savings/checking account. They learn to go to the bank to make a deposit and fill out their deposit slips. They understand money & debit card usage. See More

JA was a great experience for my son and his classmates. It was also a great day for me to mentor some students and their jobs for the day. I hope all kids and adults get a chance to enjoy the experience.

It was a great opportunity for the kids. I was surprised how enthusiastic the kids were about performing their roles. This is not some passive field trip, and the kids responded well to that. Parent v...olunteers are a necessary component, but be prepared to work! Excellent program! See More
