Attention JMC families...
Our Family Night originally scheduled for tomorrow night (March 21st) has been postponed because of the forecasted weather. Our Family Night has been rescheduled for next Wednesday night (March 28th). Families will be able to shop at the Scholastic Book Fair, because that has been extended into next week.
John M. Clayton Elementary School hosted a special pep rally on Friday, March 16 to get students fired up for the upcoming state tests. Teachers dress in a vari...ety of costumes and participated in a game show hosted by Assistant Principal Bennett Murray and teacher Joseph Marvel. See photos below.

The Indian River School District hosted the VEX IQ State Championship Tournament on February 17 at Georgetown Elementary School.
Schools from across the state... competed to earn top honors for their robotics interests. They have been working for several months to design, engineer and program their robots and prepare a STEM presentation to show how robotics can impact various aspects of our lives. Teams worked together in teamwork and skills challenges in addition to formulating the STEM presentation.
Four teams earned bids to the VEX IQ World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky from April 29- May1. They are:
Team Long Neckers - Long Neck Elementary
Team Alphas - Georgetown Elementary School
Team Zeus - Lord Baltimore Elementary
Team B - Georgetown Middle School

Family Fun Day includes games for the children, food for all, and a Silent Auction for adults.

Family Fun Day includes games for the children, food for all, and a Silent Auction for adults. Each year, the PTO invites area businesses to contribute a variety of items or gift certificates as prizes for the auction. Any and all donations are welcomed! Donations can be sent or brought to the school, or we can make arrangements to pick them up. Please call the school at 732-3808 if you have any questions about Family Fun Day.
Please join us for our PTO Meeting and Movie Night, on Friday, January 19th at 6:00 p.m.
Parents must attend with students!
The cost is $2.00 per person and includes movie, one popcorn, and one drink. Additional snacks and drinks can be purchased for $1.00 per item. Smencils will also be available for purchase....
A PTO meeting will be held in the library during the movie. Staff will be in the cafeteria to supervise students and families during the movie.
