Our second photo walk in Nottingham and it was another freezing cold winter session. The theme on this night was 'From Up High' (with some shots taken on the way to trying to fulfil the theme ).
Enjoying experimenting with different editing techniques for these walks. This session also gave me a chance to try shooting with some adapted Canon lenses.
Short but awesome creative edit of the first Fifth Vision photo walk in Nottingham city center last week, created by the super talented Will J Carman. Great vibes.
Another re-edit of a shot I captured back in February 2014 featuring the original Nottingham "City Dweller" Phil Hunter of Hunter Films. A true creative visionary. If you aren't following his page - do it! He posts amazing content every week.
The first photo walk I've ever been on and it was a really rewarding experience. Got to capture the city in a way I've never had the chance to before.
Privileged to spend a few freezing cold - but highly rewarding - hours with Phil Hunter, Will Carman and Ben Styles. The first of many hopefully.
More experiments - this time with portraits using a fixed light source. Light really is everything in photography and I'm enjoying playing with it to really capture the essence of my subjects. May often be a few similar images posted here to give the person in them a few choices if they want to use for profile pictures etc. I'm also experimenting with different colour grading styles.
Portraits from the final Parkour session of 2017. A cold but fun day of movement in the city of Nottingham
A cold but enjoyable afternoon of Parkour training with the Nottingham community which took the group to a new 'spot' in the St Anns area of the city.
Really enjoyed shooting on this day as when the sun began to go down the visuals were incredible. Shooting into the sun creates a really interesting effect late in the day and coupled with my new 85mm Canon vintage lens I was really excited by the results.
A look back over some of the photos I've taken in 2017 of the boys of Nottingham Parkour.
I've processed 1120 photos over the year but have selected 131 of some of my fav's along with those which give a feel for the atmosphere and vibe of the sessions.
Highlights in order from January to December.
Happy New Year Nottingham Parkour. It's been a fantastic year of fun and photography. So many memories.
I am incredibly honoured to get to spend Saturday's all year round with a truly amazing group of young people all sharing the same great experience.
Onwards to 2018!
