Happy new year!

A Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica) on Látrabjarg cliffs, in the westfjords of Iceland. This one placed itself in a way where the cliffs in the background rendered completely black, while exposing the bird correctly.

Goodbye summer.

Shot during sunset in Fljót, north Iceland. This light only lasted for a few minutes, so I tried to get at least on frame by one of the countless pools found in that area. I really like the blue reflection.

Shot in Kerlingarfjöll mountains, in the central highlands of Iceland. Went there with a few friends for a little camping trip, during one of Iceland's biggest travel weekends. We were lucky enough to get some decent light, so me and a friend hiked a little to try to get something out of it.

Shot at Reykjanes peninsula during sunset, near Reykjanesviti lighthouse, south west Iceland. About 40 minute drive from the capital, Reykjavík, but lots of interesting stuff to be found. One of these locations which have been photographed insanely much, but you alwas find a new angle.

A Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica) at it's nesting site during sunset, at Flatey island, Skjálfandi bay, north-east Iceland.

This was shot just a few minutes before 00:00, in the end of June, near the summer solstice, when the sun doesn't really go down, it only touches the horizon for a few minutes, and the comes back up.

These last rays of sun were gone just a few seconds after this was shot, and appeared again a few minutes later. Truly the most amazing time of the yea...r here in Iceland. Only wish this had better composition, because I love that last light.

Kirkjufell.

Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall and Kirkjufell mountain which most people recognize by now.

This is an old shot which I had processed way back but I had never tried to process this one frame frame for the sky including these aurora, as it always looked horrible and pixelated, The Nikon D300 is not that good when it comes to the night sky. Tried to remove the noise as much as possible.
