“Three early voting sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 24, in Fargo and West Fargo. Those sites are the Ramada Inn, 3333 13th Ave. S., Fargo; the Fargodome, 1800 N. University Drive, Fargo; and the Double Tree by Hilton, 825 E. Beaton Drive, West Fargo.”

The Legislative Procedures & Arrangements Committee (comprised of legislative leadership) just recommended masking & regular testing as part of the 2021 legislative session. The Rules Committee of each chamber will need to approve the language when we meet in early December.

The language was drafted for Sen. Rich Wardner, the Senate Majority Leader. I had a similar proposal drafted, that didn’t include testing. The recommendation passed with a strong bipartisan 8-2 vote.

If adopted by the House and Senate Rules committees and the two chambers at large, the mask requirement would apply to all areas of the Capitol that fall under legislative control. The rule would also dictate that lobbyists, reporters and members of the public wear masks in the indoor public areas.
