No greater place in town for meeting up with our peeps...Steve and the staff are always so pleasant and efficient; in a word, the perfect place for a cuppa with friends!!

Warm and welcoming atmosphere; delicious, high-quality food and coffee; genuinely friendly staff. Made an impromptu stop before a four-hour drive home and were so glad to learn we could bring the dog! We will definitely be back on our next visit to town. See More

My family and I traveled 4 hours with the intent of stopping for coffee and a quick meal at Josiahs Cafe, over labor day weekend. We were suprised to see it was closed on that Sunday morning. My son, ...Josiah, was so excited to see "his" name, and was looking foward to getting one of the coffee cups. We went on with our planned travles and when returning home I attempted to contact via messenger Josiahs Cafe on 3 separate occasions to see if it would be possiable to buy a coffee cup and have it shipped to us, in central Minnesota. I have not heard back from anyone. It looked like a lovely place from outside, but have been unimpressed thus far. See More

Excellent coffee (the best in Sioux Falls for my personal taste), excellent food, great staff, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I would be there several days a week if I lived in Sioux Falls!!

On our way to south Dakota and we decided to stop by because of the great reviews it was getting and I tell you, they were not lying. It's a small coffee house with also an outside patio. At first it ...was a bit hard to find (not the location just the actual cofrehouse) because it does have a small sign. It looks like an artsy location. We the food was simple but delicious. My brothers family had the breakfast pizza. Trust me it was delish and truly recommmended. I had the 2 fried eggs and avocado toast. With fruit. And it was very good. Others had yogurt with raisins and granola and a breakfast paninis. Im not really a cofee drinker, but let me tell you, it will put starbucks to shame. It was so good. All was well made, well cooked, well prepared. Service was great, super very friendly staff, you wouldn't believe it. Very nice people. They made us feel welcomed. Great atmosphere and a place to relax. So if you're ever in Sioux falls, I recommend this place.!!-- I'm hoping we go back on the way back to chicago... See More

Traveling cross country with a dog it can be tough to find pet friendly dining. This little cafe rocks. Great little patio with a bucket of treats for your canine companion. It was nice to finally be... able to sit down and have a meal together rather than eating in shifts. Food was very tasty but had a little too much garlic for my taste. Would definitely stop again if we get back to Souix Falls. See More

Everything I have ever had at Josiah's is the Best. I don't get as often as I want but I have called several times and picked food, that helps me get my Josiah's fix. They also have the best service, ...I like to hear about Steve taking good care of his staff. They have the best wraps, flatbread pizza and soups, peanut butter chocolate pie to die for. See More

Absolutely love it! The salted caramel apple pie was amazing!
Our coffee and espresso beans at Josiah's are shipped fresh from our micro-roaster in Seattle. I happened upon Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co. on a trip out west to visit some family. It was one of those "oh my God" moments when I took my first sip of the latte I ordered at their shop in the Capitol HIll neighborhood. We all have our favorites, but the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, which is our medium roast, is the best drip coffee I've ever had. It's strong, rich, but never bitter. And while we poke fun at some of the bigger chains about bitter coffee, we are serious about how our coffee doesn't have that bitter, burnt, roasted-to-much taste. Caffe Vita knows what they are doing with their roasting process. The espresso blend roasted by Caffe Vita was the selling point for me. This is the espresso roast I've waited for since starting to drink espresso and lattes 28 years ago. We pull our shots after freshly grinding and hand-measuring each one. We use the finest equipment from LaMarzocco in Italy - not a new-fangled automated machine like the big chains. If you haven't tried our coffee or espresso, give us a try. Your coffee experience might just be a little better than you thought it could be.
Congratulations to the 4,000 participants in the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure. Amazing to see so many people dedicated to running and to finding a cure for cancer. Roads should be clear and open about 10 am downtown. Come join us for brunch or lunch. This weather is incredible.
Getting closer with the new coffeehouse - but not quite there. I'm pretty confident we will open the doors for you on Saturday. Please stay tuned to Facebook for updates. To give you another peak - please take a couple minutes to watch this and learn a little more about this incredible space. I hope you will love the new Josiah's as much as I do.

That was then. This is now.

The wonderful transformation of Egge Transmission to Josiah's Coffeehouse, Cafe & Bakery.

We don't fix transmissions. But our caramel rolls will warm your belly.

Not sure how to write this quick post. I love the new place, but honestly, we are busier than we can really handle. While that might be good, if we can't serve our guest properly, it's not good for anyone. We are doing our best - with a big menu, a new kitchen, new team members and all. I pride my self in doing the best we can for our customers. I hope you are ready to wait in line and wait a bit while we prepare your food.

We will get better. In the meantime, know that we are working hard to give you the best service we can.

And, if you know of anyone ready to work their tail off and join our team here at Josiah's, have them email me a resume or short work history. We need Barista's, Servers, Cooks, Dishwashers and Catering Staff. My email is

Thank you for coming through our door and for your patients.

My best.
