The Junior Sikh Coalition is proud to announce the third, annual Open Mic Night!
This year's theme will be EQUALITY.
This "for the youth, by the youth" arts event is a token of our Nirbhau Nirvair (Without Fear, Without Hate) Campaign. This is a safe space for high school and college students to express themselves freely through any arts medium. Please RSVP now to perform and to support our friends!...
For any questions, please contact us at JSC@sikhcoalition.org.

Please join us on May 14th at Jersey City gurudwara to celebrate Sikh women! The Junior Sikh Coalition would appreciate your presence at our Kaur Kirtan Darbar. In Sikhism, we are taught that women and men are equal, and our project strives to prove it.
We will have women/children perform the entire deewan(from keertan to hukamnama) by women of all ages. This will help eliminate typical stereotypes.
Please message either Taranjeet, Ameek, Harleen, Jasleen, or any other member of JSC if you are interested in performing a shabad.
Junior Sikh Coalition does the #marshmallowchallenge! Our tallest structure was 14"! How tall can you make a freestanding structure made of just 20 pieces of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string and a marshmallow at top, in 18 minutes?
Attention NYC South Asian activists ages 14-21! Are you interested to work against sexual assault and for the betterment of an equal community? Let us know here! https://goo.gl/forms/fGwczhesarfFr2953
This may be the right program for you.
Have you ever been bullied, bullied others, or witnessed bullying? Let us know! Take this short survey. It helps us document our reality and present this info to city, state and federal agencies to change it.
Please help us get to camp this Sunday!!! We are so thankful to our current donors who have helped us reach 25% of needed funds, but are still very short of funding. With your help we can fill the rest of our goal!!! It is $350 to cover a camper for a full week, including food, lodging and classes, but any amount will help! Thank you so much. This camp means a lot for us, but your support in that means more!
Last week, the fifth Junior Sikh Coalition class completed their first week of Social Justice Boot Camp at the Sikh Coalition's New York City office. This week,... as our young leaders head off to Camp Chardi Kala to continue their youth building and Sikhi learning, we need your financial support to ensure that every child has the resources to attend.
Please help guarantee that all of our Junior Sikh Coalition children are given this special privilege by donating today. Every dollar makes an enormous difference as we celebrate the fifth Junior Sikh Coalition program and the 40th anniversary of Camp Chardi Kala.
Every year, we have an amazing experience at Camp Chardi Kala. Not only do we have the best opportunity to build a stronger new team, which begins in August, but we get to meet other Sikhs we never even knew were so close to us, and that too in the most loving and fun setting possible! Not all of us could have this privilege without your help, however. Please help us out and get us to CCK 2016!!! We won't go unless all of us can go.
