*** Avatar improvements ***
We have now made it possible to use text as your user avatar. Use your initials, or something else that is easily recognizable for your team. Configure text and background colors.
Alternatively, you can now also directly upload your own image. You don't need a Gravatar account anymore.
...To change your avatar, click on your name in the top black bar and go to "Personal settings". Then click on "Change avatar".
*** Stopwatch timer on mobile app ***
One of the most requested features is to be able to use the timer on the mobile web app. We are happy to announce that as a first step, we have added a stopwatch timer.
To start the timer for a task, tap on it and select "Timer" in the bottom toolbar. Then tap "Start".
...To work with the board or other tasks, simply close the detailed task view again. The timer will stay fixed and running at the bottom. You can even close the app or lock your phone. The timer will keep on ticking in the background.
To switch to another task while the timer is running, tap on it and select "Select in timer" under "Timer".

*** Mobile web app improvements ***
We have given our mobile web app some love lately. Task design and interactions have been improved.
To view a task in detail, simply tap on it. There you can also check subtasks and read comments.
...Swipe your finger to the left or right to view other columns.
To move a task, tap and hold on it for a second and then drag it to its new location.
Changes made on your boards are now updated in real-time, just as you're used to on desktop.

*** Color weights for forecasting ***
Have you tried to use Forecasting and felt that the result did not quite match what you expected? For some boards, the time to complete tasks of different colors can vary significantly. For example, a Bug (red task) can be fixed in a fraction of the time it takes to add a Feature (yellow task).
To get more accurate forecasts when planning your work, you can now choose to ignore or assign weights to specific colors. To get help with setti...ng weights, you can use historic time spent data to automatically calculate good values.
To show the report, click on "Reports" in the bottom toolbar. Then click on "Forecasting". This is a premium feature.
*** Improved administration pages ***
The administration pages have been redesigned. You will hopefully find an improved user experience and better performance.
The goal was to make the administration interface cleaner and require fewer clicks to perform common tasks. The previous design could easily become cluttered if you had many boards.
...The current board is now shown at the top of the administration menu, since you often want to make administrative changes to the board that you are currently viewing.
We have not removed any functionality. If you have trouble locating a feature with the new design, please send a mail to support@kanbanflow.com and we will guide you.
*** Recycle bin ***
Deleted a task by mistake? No worries. You can now restore them from the Recycle bin.
You find the Recycle bin by clicking on the icon with 3 lines in the bottom toolbar.
...For free boards, tasks can be restored within 24 hours of being deleted. For premium boards, they can be restored within 30 days.
*** Set default responsible ***
You can now set default responsible for new tasks. It is also possible to set the default to be the user that created the task.
Go to "Administration" -> "Board settings" -> "Advanced" to configure.
*** Forecasting Planning Mode ***
Forecasting can be used to quickly get a pretty good idea of when your tasks will be done without doing regular estimates. In the planning mode you can re-prioritize your tasks and see how it affects the forecast in real-time.
The forecasted dates are displayed at the bottom of each task. It assumes that tasks are prioritized from top to bottom within a column.
...To use the planning mode, click on "Reports" in the bottom toolbar. Then click on "Forecasting". Finally, click on "Enter planning mode" in the bottom right corner of the report. This is a premium feature.
*** Forecasting instead of estimating ***
Are you spending a lot of time on doing estimates? Now you can use the Forecasting report to predict when your tasks will be completed without estimates.
The forecasting report analyzes historical data and assumes that future work will follow a similar trend. The forecasts can often be just as accurate as estimates, while giving you more time to get actual work done.
...To show the report, click on "Reports" in the bottom toolbar. Then click on "Forecasting". This is a premium feature.
*** Formatting for Description and Comments ***
You can now use formatted text in the descriptions and comments for your tasks.
Examples of formatting that you can do:...

* Named links
* Images
* Bullet list
* Numbered list
* Quote
* Strikethrough
* Inline code
* Code block
To see how you do the formatting, click on "Formatting help" in the input field.
*** Move tasks between boards on mobile site ***
It is now possible to move tasks between different boards on the mobile site. Just click on the gear icon for the task and select "Move advanced".
*** Cumulative Flow ***
The Cumulative Flow diagram shows how many tasks there are in different columns over time. You can use the diagram to analyze your workflow and identify bottlenecks.
We have added a User filter to the diagram. So you are now able to track the Cumulative Flow for specific members of your team.
...If you have many tasks on your board, you will also notice a significant performance improvement. You can now look at multiple years of data without experiencing a long loading time.
To show the report, click on "Reports" in the bottom toolbar. Then click on "Cumulative flow". This is a premium feature.
*** Cycle & Lead time chart ***
The Cycle & Lead time chart shows how long time it has taken for tasks to move between different columns on your board. You can use it to see if you become faster or slower at delivering value to your customers.
We have recently added a moving average trend-line to the chart. This gives you a smoother line and will make it easier to draw conclusions from your data.
...We have also added a User filter. So you are now able to track the lead times for specific members of your team.
If you have many tasks on your board, you will notice a significant performance improvement. You can now look at multiple years of data without experiencing a long loading time.
To show the report, click on "Reports" in the bottom toolbar. Then click on "Cycle & Lead time". This is a premium feature.
*** View more columns on mobile ***
Ever felt the need to view more than one column at a time in our mobile site? Try rotating your phone into landscape mode. It will now show at least two columns side-by-side. The bigger the screen, the more columns will show.

*** Mass update tasks ***
Sometimes you might want to rename a label or remove it from all tasks where it is used. Or you want to set responsible, set color or delete tasks based on a filter criteria.
With the mass update tasks feature, all these things are now simple to do even for 100s of tasks.
...You will be guided through a short process of selecting the tasks and the action that you want to apply to them. To prevent mistakes, you will see a preview of the updates before deciding to apply them.
To start a mass update, click on the icon with 3 lines in the bottom toolbar. Then click on "Mass update".
This is a premium feature. You need to be either "Board owner" or "Board administrator" to access it.
*** Add a task directly between two other tasks ***
If you want to add a new task between two other tasks in a column, simply double-click between them and the new task will be added there.
You can also double-click at the top or bottom of the column, to add the task at that position instead.
*** Recurring tasks in the calendar ***
You can now configure your calendar to show future projected dates for your recurring tasks. The projected dates show up with a dashed border and are a bit faded out.
To enable this, click on the settings icon in the top right corner of the calendar. Then click on "Show all" for the "Repeating tasks" setting.
...The reason why this is not enabled by default, is that you might have daily repeating tasks and then you would see the same item on every single day.
The calendar is a premium feature.
