       Hey Guys, This is the guy that Freddy spotted coming into EYW & prompted his promotion to General Fred R. Cabanas and The Conch Republic Air Force Sightseeing Tours way back when. I believe he's also flown with another friend of mine doing the SAR flights in the Florida Straits. These people know what it's like to be an American and to not take our freedoms & rights for granted. It's too bad more native born Americans can't appreciate this, and too bad Freddy isn't here to see this.

       Way back in 1995, I flew with the amazing Mr. Cabanas in the red Pitts S2B. Following an aerobatic sortie out of Key West, Fred lined the aircraft up for the downwind leg... until he spied a DC3........ He flipped the Pitts inverted and we overtook the DC3, waving to the passengers, before flipping the right way up and landing before the airliner. I'm about to do this drawing as my own personal memorial to Fred. If you screw your eyes up, you'll be able to make out the Pitts and the DC3. I'll post the completed work here in a few days!

    Today we are hosting the Montessori School Primary Class. Ms Sonia Rdissi is the teacher and this morning we have ages 2-4 and this afternoon, we will have ages 4-6. They are here to learn about aviation, and hopefully we can inspire some young minds to become pilots! Thank you to pilots Raymond Cabanas, Russ Hull and Evan Phillips.

    Today, Bernd Bilitewski & Karin Haenel, from Germany flew with us. What is interesting about this couple is on July 5, 2013 they climbed aboard their bicycle built for two in Bangor, ME and rode it all the way down to Key West on Route A1A! It took them a little over 3 months and 3000 miles. Thanks for making us a part of your journey!
