Came to Kiawah Island for a small conference and had never been here before. It makes me sad to think that I didn’t know this amazing place even existed. Paradise is so over used but until they come... up with a better word that will have to do! The resort is breathtaking. The grounds are immaculate and this place has something for everyone. Be for-warned though, it is not for the economy traveler. You pay quite a bit for the privilege to stay here but it is worth every cent. The dining options will suit any palate and mood. The activities would keep even the most ADD person interested. Only negative thing I could say is that they decided to mow and weed eat at 7am right outside the villa we were renting. Not a great way to get up in the morning but the grounds don’t keep themselves beautiful, it takes a lot of work and a lot of people to keep it so gorgeous. See More

I love Kiawah! The Live Oaks and wild life are amazing. Yesterday I saw dolphins leaping into the air, bunnies, and deer. The five star Santuary hotel is breathtaking and they have a world class spa. ...There is great food and plenty of fresh seafood. It is my happy place! #mykiawahvacation See More

Five stars isn’t enough for my review of the Sanctuary Hotel. I can’t say enough of the service we were given. From the hotel concierge to the restaurants to the golf courses and everywhere in between..., this was by far one of the best if not THE best hotel experience ever! Thank you everyone for making our anniversary trip AMAZING! See More

16 of us paid $250 to play Cougar point. No one told us the greens were dead and dying! We should at least bee given a credit off the full price. Probably won’t go back since those were supposed to be... the best of all the courses. See More

Thank you for a wonderful treat to our kids of face painting, sand art, spin art, games, hot chocolate, music, and a hayride all on a rainy and cool Thanksgiving night. The staff were so kind to each of us.

one of the most beautiful places to relax and play golf.... Great guest services. Great courses. Great properties. Bring your own car because waiting on shuttles to get you around the island is not that fun.

Was told I was going to have a room with an ocean view. When I arrived this was not the case. When I spoke to the guy at the counter he seemed to have no interest in correcting the situation. I was... truly excited about having a room on the ocean so thank you for ruining that for me. See More

Wonderful stay at the Sanctuary for jazz fest, a great round at the ocean course with courteous staff and super caddies however the F&B service at the ocean course was seriously lacking.

I've now played 3 of the 5 gold courses and have had a wonderful time each time. They are all challenging so far and always in GREAT shape. The Villa's are nice, beaches are great and so are the resta...urants I have ate at. MUST Go if you Love Golf and Outdoor activities. See More

Supposedly upgraded our room only to put our two teenage children into a room with one bed leading us to stand around for over a half hour while they readjusted. We specifically asked for the bed con...figuration's with a joining rooms only to have that all changed. We also adjoining rooms....that changed.
First day Friday 5 PM the women's room were disgusting were my daughter and the woman next to us said it was so bad that we called the front desk.
130 at the adult pool on the Sunday there are no towels for the chairs so we are anxiously waiting to relax and sit down. How do you run out of towels at a beach resort in the middle of the day it's only about 75% of seating being used?
Service is great....so far seems like management issues.
Small things you expect at this caliber....no water or fruit in the lobby. Beach waiters few and far between on Sat.....and NO HBO!

Still here so an update.....Tuesday 1PM the pool bar is out of piña colada mix!! Family used the spa and report it was great.

Love Kiawah... The most Beautiful Beach! I wish they had signs posted to ask people to fill in the holes they dig on the beach for Sea Turtle safety, and a NO PLASTIC Rule. I walk the beach regularly,... and bring a bucket to pick up trash. Plastic trash, children's toy's, broken buckets etc. I give Kiawah 5 stars, except that they do not have the importance of environmental influences posted. Shame on the visitor's who don't care, or aren't knowledgeable about our environment. It is our Duty to Educate. This needs to be Posted, & placed in Every Room, Cottage, & Villa. The Human Species is polluting our beaches, and oceans. How many people have I kindly asked to fill in their giant holes, because Sea Turtles are nesting, and hatching..Only to be snubbed with the response of "the tide will fill it in". How many times have I walked the beach to find huge holes the tide didn't fill in, and have to hand fill them myself. Kiawah... Please help Educate your Guests. Save our Sea Turtles! Thank You! I treated my husband to a round of golf at Turtle Point. There were four holes facing the ocean. I really enjoyed the course. We plan to return and play the Ocean course. Went to the Ryder Cup bar an...d sat outside and watched people play the 18th hole. Drinks were expensive, but so is everything else there. A must do. See More

Kiawah Island Resort is an excellent place to stay. Customer service is a 10. Lodging is a 10. I love the Marathon they have each year; and yes I participate each year. I look forward to December ...and traveling to Kiawah Island, SC. See More
