Members of the Austin and Kingsville offices participated for the second year in a row, as the largest volunteer group at the Pflugerville Education Foundation’s annual gala. Kleinfelder employees staffed game stations and acted as an event sponsor for the Superheroes vs. Villains themed event, which raises funds for innovative teaching grants and student scholarships for the Pflugerville Independent School District.
In partnership with the Cambridge Community Development Department and Department of Public Works, Kleinfelder designed FloodViewer, an app that helps the community increase flooding preparedness.
Kleinfelder Project Manager and Climate Change Planner, Nathalie Beauvais, spoke at the Museum of Science event “Weathering the Storm: Building Resilience to Extreme Precipitation,” an interactive event aimed at informing the public of the resilience planning strategies that are being developed across the United States.

Kleinfelder bridge designers Emily Walton and Tyler Turcotte won the Max L. Wilder grand prize in the bridge breaking competition at the Maine Transportation Conference! Their bridge, a popsicle stick Waddell Truss Bridge, withstood a load of 577 pounds before failure. Congrats team!
