The latest Cooperative Press newsletter has some updates on the subscriber software transition for Knit Edge. We're actively working to move subscribers over to the new system in batches, and trying to find new subscribers who'll love us like you do! Can you help?
The latest CP newsletter is out now and it's chock full of bad news. Internet attacks on our software providers, Amazon* attacks on small publishers... whew. Bu...t all hope is not lost! We know we can count on your support when things are challenging. Read on and see what you can do...
* Not Amazon as in Wonder Woman. (Which is a shame, because that would actually be kind of cool).
Are you on Pinterest? You can help us with a data experiment for the #knitgrrl52 Patreon that is designed to drive new subscribers to Knit Edge and track how different types of Pinterest advertising work for the knit design community.

Happy new year from all of us at Knit Edge and Cooperative Press. We wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2017!
Hello, designers, authors, and friends of CP! Knit Edge 9 is currently in formatting, which means we are actively soliciting for content for our next issue.
Our primary design focus for issue 10 will be bold, tailored, textured pieces: strong cables, multiple stitch patterns, and substantial lace. We hope to work with both knit and crochet designers in this issue. We are actively soliciting sweaters, hats, children's clothing, mittens & mitts, cowls, scarves, socks, as well ...as gifts, toys, and home decor. Not sure that your design would fall within our parameters? Feel free to ask! We are full up on shawls for KE 10, but if you are interested in talking with us for the next issue, please, get in touch- late winter/ early spring is perfect for lace.
Deadline: Submissions are due by September 30th, 2016. The issue will be released in the last week of November/ first week of December.
Submission Requirements: Submissions can be completed patterns or articles, but this absolutely isn't necessary! In order to submit a pattern to Knit Edge, please send us, at minimum, a clear sketch of your design idea, a photo of a swatch in desired yarn/ fiber, as well as a detailed written description of the proposed design. Article pitches should be clear, concise, and limited to a single paragraph, please. All potential contributors should email submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with the title Knit Edge Submission!
Payment: We pay $100 per pattern/ article via Paypal, with payment upon publication. We provide professional tech/ copy editing, layout, schematics (if required), and photography (if desired). Designers/ authors provide patterns/ articles as per style sheet, sample, charts, and photos if desired.
Rights: Rights return to designers/ authors as soon as the subsequent issue is published; i.e., if you have a pattern published in Knit Edge issue #10, all rights are returned to you once Knit Edge issue #11 is released.
If you know anyone that you think might appreciate seeing this, please, pass it along!
European Knit Edge subscribers: our cover model from Knit Edge issue #0 is currently playing in the UK, Spain and more... so much talent in our corner of the creative galaxy, no?
