Proceeds go to the Kauai Ho'ohui Recreation Foundation, an organization that works ...in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation to help promote the involvement of Kauai's people in fun and worthwhile recreational activities and events.

The Kauai Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the island of Kauai will host the 2016 Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament as part of the annual Aloha State Games. This will be the first time Kauai has hosted. The tournament will be played Fri-Sun., March 11-13, at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center, located in th...e town of Kalaheo. The Senior Olympics is an "open" pickleball tournament, meaning players may enter from anywhere in the world. This event is a qualifier for the 2017 National Senior Games. Our 2015 Senior Olympics tournament was held at the Holua Tennis and Pickleball Center in Kona (Big Island of Hawaii). It was a huge success. The island of Kauai will strive to make sure 2016 is more of the same!
Special thanks to Jack Hodges and Jackie Frame for making this weekend's Hawaii Senior Olympics pickleball tournament a reality!!! The level of play was incredible all weekend long. Congrats to today's mixed doubles gold medal winners Kiyo Ota/"concrete" Dave Knittle (50+) and Katy Gould/Emmanuel Robert (60+).
