Another amazing tribute to the veterans of the Korean War!
Take off with Lt. Col. (Ret) Jim "WAM" Harkins, for the final flight of the last F-4 Phantom II aircraft in the active duty inventory. After nearly 60 years of ...service the F-4 Phantom II has officially been retired.
The United States Air Force held a final flight retirement ceremony at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico earlier today. The F-4 was adaptable workhorse. Operating in versatile fighter-bomber, air defense suppression, reconnaissance, close air support and QF-4 targeting drone roles.
It's not just Arlington that will be getting in the holiday spirit -- cemeteries across the country are honoring veterans with Christmas wreaths! Visit Wreaths Across America - Official Page to find a participating cemetery near you.
"Whenever the world makes you cynical; whenever you seek true humility and selflessness—look to a veteran."
THANK YOU to all veterans past and present -- We salute you and thank you for your service!!

We're in the business of remembering all generations of veterans! If you're a Vietnam vet - or family of a veteran - and you're in the area, join us for a special FREE screening!!
Attention Vietnam veterans and families -- you are invited to the FREE Northern Utah movie screening of “The Journey Home," November 8, 9, and 11, at locations ...in SLC and Ogden! More info here: http://ow.ly/d/5wfY
After the screenings, all veterans and their families (even if their loved one is deceased) will be given a copy of the documentary together with the book "A Time to Honor: Stories of Service, Duty and Sacrifice." This gift is in recognition of the service and sacrifice Vietnam Veterans rendered 50 years ago, and in acknowledgment of the “welcome home” they never had during the nation’s divisive and hostile time. This Vietnam 50th Commemorative Gift is given with gratitude from the State of Utah, Miller Family Foundation, Merit Medical and Questar Corporation. The national edition and production of the book and documentary was entirely funded by Founding Partners/Executive
Producers Al and Kathleen Gardner of Arizona, and Joe and Kathleen Sorenson of Utah.
We hope to see you there!

"More than 36,000 Americans gave their lives in the Korean War. To this day, thousands remain unaccounted for. All of these patriots deserve their due, and so this bill will create a wall of remembrance at the Korean War Memorial, listing the names of those who perished. This is an excellent and overdue addition to our National Mall."
Today I Remember...
On this day in 1953, the United States, the People’s Republic of China, North Korea, and South Korea agree to an armistice, bringing the Kor...ean War to an end.
The armistice established a committee of representatives from neutral countries to decide the fate of the thousands of prisoners of war on both sides. A new border between North and South Korea was drawn, which gave South Korea some additional territory and established a demilitarized the zone between the two nations.
The war cost the lives of millions of Koreans and Chinese, as well as over 50,000 Americans, many of whom rest here at Arlington National Cemetery. Today we remember all those who fought in the Korean War (June 1950 – July 1953).
Who are you remembering today?
“Not many people receive this medal; I feel very proud,” former Staff Sgt. Jose Diaz-Rivas said.
"Korea Reborn" book and "The Remembered War" DVD honors war veterans for 60 years of growth.
