After the parade Saturday night, thieves used a screw driver or screw gun to steal the murals off of the sides of the Krewe of Underwear float while it was parked in a “guarded lot”. The
two 48”x96” murals (one pictured below) have underware signage from 2017 on the back. We want them back and we want the thieves to face charges. If you have any information, please message us here!
THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT WE COULD MOVE THE START TIME UP OR DELAY THE KICK OFF OF THE PARADE DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS. THIS DECISION WILL BE MADE BY THE KDV CAPTAIN AND THE NEW ORLEANS POLICE ON SATURDAY AT NOON.
This article includes a map of the new parade route!
The weekend in Underwear
Saturday, Jan. 6 (the first day of Carnival. Let's get started): Costume pickup in the den from 2 to 4 p.m. Only one pickup date, so don't miss it.
Sunday, Jan. 7: Float workshop from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a time change because of the Saints game.
I know some of ya'll have expressed an interest in seeing my short film. Here are 2 opportunities happening in January!
Incredibly, after many, many rejection emails, yesterday I received notifications that CREATURES OF GOD has been accepted into TWO film festivals!!! We'll be sc...reening in the inaugural year of the DTC Film Festival at the historic Southern Hotel in Covington ($10 bucks gets you into every screening of this 2-day festival! - Jan. 12 & 13). Then, we'll go to Lafayette, where we'll be included in Louisiana's second oldest film festival, Cinema on the Bayou (Jan. 24-31). I'm told that our screening will be on Sunday, the 28th in the afternoon or evening.
