It's Yunomi time!!
An inspiring studio tour via DesignSponge http://www.designsponge.com/…/studio-tour-honeycombstudio.h…
It might sound strange but my friend in Bellevue is hosting a garage sale Thursday the 31st so I took a bunch of 2nds and random bits over. If there is interest I can post further location information.
As the school year comes to a close, here is one of the final projects I did with a 4th grade class. Pinch pots from 1lb of clay- to give you size and thickness reference- and the teacher's addition to add some great looking succulents. Happy Summer Vacation!
As usual, an amazing online show @AKAR yunomi invitational. 19 pages of tea cups to admire- and buy! http://akardesign.com/shows/index.asp
Yay Seattle! It's children's film festival time
I love that this reminds me how the wheel is a tool- and not just for creating a vessel but in this situation for creating an experience for the viewer.
As a lover of raw, organic, shapes- I really love this. Thanks Jackie Thai
A great reminder that when we keep it local 84% of the cost stays in the local economy. Where are you spending this holiday season?
We're pledging to do our best to shop local this holiday season at our house - eating out at locally owned/operated restaurants, purchasing treasures from local... shops that carry locally crafted treasures, and gifting experiences when we can, rather than items - and wrapping everything in "green friendly" wrap. How is your family being "green and local" this year?
Neighborhood peeps! #ravenna #roosevelt This Thursday, Derby Salon is hosting their 5th annual holiday sale. 6pm. I know we all still have Thanksgiving leftovers in the fridge, but only 20 short days till Christmas. And I don't know about you, but I need teacher and hostess gifts before then! Thank you again to Seattle magazine for including my candle holders (cute for air plants too!) in their gift guide. You'll be able to pick some up at Derby on Thursday.
This Seattle group puts on a great show. With a late thanksgiving you can't afford to let any weekend pass without getting your handmade shopping on. Head over to Pier 66.
