Thank you for coming to our preschool today and teaching us about fire safety! We can never take for granted that our children know what to do in emergency situations. Children have many fears and mis...understandings about fire and even a fear of firefighters when dressed in their gear/equipment. The students at My Time are still talking about their heroes that came to visit today and all that they learned. I can't thank you enough! See More

#LTfirefighters are happy to report that the fire was contained to the property of origin.

While this pile will likely smolder for some time, the main body of fire is well under control.

Operations will continue on scene for a short while longer, after which firefighters who have been battling the blaze will be tasked with picking up, clearing, and loading over 2000 feet of hose.

Fun fact. Each 100’ section of 5” hose weighs just over 110lbs...

#LTfirefighters deployed 3 firefighters last week with a fire truck specifically designed for wildland/off road firefighting to the Texas Panhandle and West Texas.

They have been working with a force of over 4000 firefighters, coordinated by the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS). This is the same system that organized #LTfirefighters during the response to Hurricane Harvey. Together these 4000 firefighters are supported by an additional 1000 civilian responder...s battling wildfires that have burned over 25,000 acres.

Just one more way your Lake Travis Fire Fighters proudly represent our community and answer the call of the Great State of Texas.

On behalf of the 23 #LTfirefighters working Christmas Eve today and Christmas 🎄tomorrow...and all truly from all #LTfirefighters, we wish you a very safe, and Merry Christmas. Today and tomorrow all 5 stations are staffed with 3 Fire Engines and 2 “Quint” Ladder companies. Each with 4 #LTfirefighters. Additionally 2 Chief Officers are on duty with 1 Fire Inspector. Just as we are every other day of the year. It’s our privilege to serve you, and on this Christmas 2017 we thank you for your continued support moving towards next year. We are your #LTfirefighters. You call. We’re there. 👨🏼‍🚒👩🏻‍🚒❤️🎄
On behalf of the #LTfirefighters...we wish you and your family a very SAFE and Happy New Year 🎉! We’re proud of what we accomplished together in 2017 and look forward to continuing to fulfill our mission of Public Service with your support. 2018 is expected to be an exciting year for us. We’re supposed to break ground on a brand new station, Fire Station 606, located south on Hamilton Pool Road. This station is going to provide faster service, lower response times, and (hopefully) lower property insurance premiums to the citizens of Deer Creek, Belvedere, Rocky Creek, Crumley Ranch, Madrone Ranch, Vistancia, and other neighboring areas. Additionally, we’re told this station may be a Technical Rescue station due to its close proximity to Reimers Ranch and the Hamilton Pool Preserve. Of course, that decision is up to our Chief’s...we just go where we’re told 😃. But we’re excited about the new station none the less... But for today, be safe, have fun, and Happy New Year!! We are your #LTfirefighters. You call. We’re there.
