Yesterday was the filing deadline to appear on the ballot. Unfortunately, we were unable to meet the requirements to secure a place on the ballot. As such, I have withdrawn my candidacy for TX31.

I would like to thank my friends and family who have been there with me every step of the way. I also want to thank the people of this district who have allowed me the opportunity to earn your support, and learn more about the issues that affect your lives.

The purpose and goals of ...this campaign are not over. This campaign has always been about making sure attention is paid to underserved constituencies and changing how things are done in Congress. It is important that Candidates don’t shy away from issues they are not comfortable with. While my role as a candidate has come to an end, my role as an activist continues on.

I have filed to be a precinct chair for precinct 402. Together, we can continue to organize to flip this district up and down the ballot in 2020. While I will not be on the ballot, I did want to highlight some other Candidates who will be.

Hoby Smith is a candidate for Constable in Precinct 4, covering East Wilco. I am excited for his candidacy because of his commitment to his community, his years of experience in law enforcement, and his desire reform the constable’s office into being more people oriented.

Robert Tijerina is a candidate for Constable in Precinct 2, covering the Western side of Wilco. He also brings years of law enforcement experience and is seeking to bring greater accessibility to the Constable’s office.

Stan O. Springerley is a candidate for Wilco Attorney. Stan is an amazingly qualified candidate with years of experience. He has a record of promoting bipartisanship and fiscal responsibility.

Hey y’all, let me tell you why I am running. I am running for three main reasons. - First, I am running to change how Congress views their role through example. I believe in term limits for Congress and I want to show others a representative can be successful within a term limit. - Second, I am running to change how Congress operates. I am tired of hearing about these 800 page bills that no one has time to read and the American public knows nothing about.
