We honored John Lewis this week at the Capitol for all he did to make our nation better. He was the Conscience of the Congress and the conscience of the country. As he departed the Capitol for the last time today, we remembered what a great example he was for us all as a proponent of love, of nonviolence, of peace. We will continue to honor his legacy and make #goodtrouble.

We’re halfway through #HispanicHeritage Month, and we are still celebrating all the great contributions of Latinos and Latinas throughout our history who have helped make our union more perfect. During this month, we embrace our nation’s diversity and continue working to ensure equal opportunity for all.

I am joining my colleagues this week to highlight how Democrats have worked hard #ForThePeople while the while the President and Republicans have only Failed The People. From their mismanagement of this pandemic that has cost 200,000 lives and put millions out of work, to working to kick millions off of health care, to undermining our democracy, Republicans #FailThePeople.

Hospitalizations from COVID-19 are spiking around the country, threatening the capacity of care providers to treat patients. This crisis has been completely mismanaged by President Trump. Instead of working to defeat this virus he ignores this devastating reality and says we are rounding the corner. His actions are shameful. https://wapo.st/3jwSrxG

President Trump's continued assault on the federal workforce undermines the civil service system and hurts our nation. I introduced the Save the Civil Service Act with Congressman Gerry Connolly and Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney to reverse the President's latest attack on civil servants. Our civil servants go to work each day to serve the American people, and our nation benefits from their knowledge and dedication. House Democrats will keep fighting against these attacks by the Trump Administration. https://bit.ly/3kBlFMX
