Hoyer Floor Remarks on the Federal Civilian Workforce Pay Raise Fairness Act

After five weeks of the unnecessary, costly, and painful #TrumpShutdown, the American people have been reminded of how critical the work our federal employees perform is to our national security and economic security. I spoke on the Floor today in support of my legislation to provide a 2.6% cost-of-living adjustment to civilian federal employees. I urge Members on both sides of the aisle to join me in voting for this bill and showing federal workers the gratitude and respect that they have earned and that they deserve.
