Happy Birthday Jim.
Wishing everyone in our community a wonderful Thanksgiving and extra hugs to those who are feeling the loss of loved ones in a more intense way today because of the holiday. Let us use the day to recall fond memories and to make great new ones.
My love to all.
One year ago today we lost James Gandolfini. I hope that this facebook page has helped our community deal with the shock and the loss and to do something positive for Jim’s legacy locally here in Park Ridge. I want to once again thank the members of this page for bringing ideas, signing petitions and coming to events. I want, once again the mayor and council of Park Ridge for their response, especially to council president Keith Misciagna for all of his help with the street ...naming last fall and to the Park Ridge BOE for placing the beautiful plaque in The Little Theater,
It was kind and generous for members of the Gandolfini family to attend the events and share their memories with us, I am thankful for that. It was amazing that cast members of The Sopranos came to our little town to honor Jim.
I would like to hear your thoughts and feelings here on this page and in personal messages about what you are thinking and feeling now, one year later.
Here is one video with all the speeches filmed by Ned Barber
Joseph Bruno,of the Park Ridge Board of Ed and Dr. Gamper, Superintendant of Schools reveals the plaque in honor of James Gandolfini.

Tom Richardson met James Gandolfini in college and became a close and trusted friend through out his life, basically his right-hand man. These kinds of friendships are the family we choose.
Getting to know Tom just a little bit, I can say he is a class act, kind, sensitive, big hearted, generous, I guess a lot like Jim, so it is easy to see how the two were fast friends.
Lovely speech from a lovely lady, Jim's friend from Park Ridge High School,Donna Mancinelli.
Did you know that Jim visited East Brook?
Here is a video of the present principal of East Brook School, Shelley Silver, sharing a story about what happened when James Gandolfini visited his elementary school a few years ago.
Jim's big sister Johanna Antonacci speaking at the plaque dedication.
What an amazing, warm, strong lady with a great sense of humor. You can just SEE that she was an influence on her little brother.
Here is the beautiful plaque that was placed in the Lobby of the Little Theater at Park Ridge High School.
